Fireman's Prayer

Welcome to the home of Engine Company 32 and Truck Company 16 of the District of Columbia Fire Department. Engine 32 and Truck  16 are located at 2425 Irving Street SE, Washington D.C. Engine 32 was organized on October 12, 1957 with a 1957 Mack B model 750 GPM hose wagon and a 1955 Ward La France 750 GPM pumper and moved into a brand new fire house nick named "The Glass Fire House".   Truck 16 was  organized on May 4, 1945 and placed in service with Engine 19 at 2813 Pennsylvania Ave. S.E. with a 1925 Seagrave 75' aerial ladder truck.   On November 8, 1977 Truck Co.16 relocated to the quarter's of Engine Co. 15 until June 25, 1985 when they moved back to Engine 19.  Truck 16 stayed at Engine 19 until December 1, 1989 when they moved to the quarter's of Engine 32. Also, Rescue Squad 3  was placed in service on June 4, 1958 at the quarters of Engine 32.  On April 30, 1965 Rescue Squad 3 moved to the quarters of Engine 8 and is now at Engine 15.
