For the beauty of the earth!

The desert shall rejoice and
blossom like a rose.
It shall blossom abundantly.
Isaiah 35..1 and 2.

It was in Arizona that we found the
Masters Garden! No one else could have
planted such a variety of beautiful plants
in such a dry and rugged place!

I believe..

For every drop of rain that falls..

A flower grows..

There are..

The Bladderpod.

Also..

The Bluebells.

And there are...

The Browneyed Daisy!

The lovely...

Lupine!

The tiny Silverbells.

So pretty!

The Globemallow.

Then there are..

The lovely Penstemon!

And another! Aren't they pretty?

I want to thank Bruce Westling for
allowing me to use his beautiful photos.

In western Arizona, we found these beauties!

The rose-pink Elephant tree with Cordon Cacti
among the boulders!

What a lovely picture!

Sand Verbena and desert Primrose.

Another beauty!

A circle of blossoms on prickly Cacti.

Desert beauty!

Another rose-pink Elephant tree, among
many other things!

Our next stop will be a nice surprise!.

Many children, both English and American, have
played the game "London bridge is falling down."
Over the centuries, the old London bridge did
fall down several times and had to be built up
again! When this 13th century bridge was torn
down the Londoners asked what was to be done
with it. Some one said "sell it to the Americans"
And that's exactly what they did!

The Bridge as Charles Dickens knew it.

In the early 1940's a wealthy land developer,
Robert McCulloch, had the brilliant idea of how to
make a small desert town into a tourist attraction!

He bought the old London bridge, had it shipped
over, piece by piece then prepared a newly made
lake, by dredging and etc., and rebuilt the bridge!

Here it is as it looks today!

Lake Havasu is 45 miles long and was created in
1938 when the Parker Dam was built on the
Colorado River.
