The Buehneman Shetland Sheep!

The sheep here at Buehneman Shelties have been Cheviot and Dorset crossbreds, up until November of 2004, when Woodland, our first moorit shetland ram was purchased, from Janet May, and later replaced him with Underhill Little Boy Blue, a Gulomget Moorit purchase from Gail Former. Over the last few years our tiny flock has multiplied, to the point that I will have some nice young gulmoget ewe lambs for sale later this spring (2012), As of March 5, 2012, we already have 7 ewe lambs, and 2 ram lambs on the ground.

For those not formilar with Shetlands these sheep are small, and very tough, we usually don't have to pen the ewes during lambing, even with twins!!! These small sheep work well with our sheltie dogs, and we hope to do more herding in the future.

We shear our sheep ourselves, and have sold the wool on e-bay, however, if you would be interested in booking a specific Shetland's wool, please feel free to e-mail me.

Pictured below is an available (born spring 2011) moorit yearling ram lamb, price is $150

Below are some of the 2011 crop of yearling ewes, I have some yearling ewes available now, and will have some spring lambs available later, we already have 9 lambs and counting!!!
