My Short Answers

Qualities I value.

Knowing the Christ, son of the Living God, and Saviour of the world. Seeing Universal Oneness and Peace, revealed in the Christ, in the Ultimate Reconciliation of all things. Christ is life. Ministry is the mission.

Faith as an exciting journey and privilege. Simplicity is a lifestyle choice.

Who Am I?

I am a liberal-minded small-c charismatic Quaker styled Christian who believes in the Universal Salvation of all. A favorite verse is " Christ is all and in all" and that "God may be all in all". I am passionate in the pursuit of understanding in the things of God. I work from an underlying belief is in the infinite and unfailing love of God for all humankind. This includes a belief in the " Ultimate Reconciliation" of all, and a Preterist understanding of the promises of God as already fulfilled. I also enjoy publishing my writings on the web. I believe everyone has a ministry.

Describe a little of your personality and character traits. (Are you funny, laid back, more serious, open, shy, etc.?)

I am serious, and hard working, but like to kick back and relax. I try to bring out the best in others. I am careful to be sensitive, tolerant and very accepting of the journey others take. I am idealistic, and at times, uncompromising in my own spiritual journey.

Describe your Christian faith. Where are you at, and what are your goals?
What Scripture verses are important to you?

To describe my faith:
I have a liberal open minded faith, but my faith is at the core of who I am. The Quaker meeting I attend is a reasonable fit for me right now, allowing me to explore new insights without repercussions.

I wrote about a network called "Quakin Friends" that describes my ever-developing faith. I believe in a Christ centered Inclusive Universalist faith revealing the Ultimate Reconciliation and Oneness with God of All people. In it I describe a Christ centered, Independent, Non-creedal, Inclusive fellowship, where Christ is revealed as Savior of the World. Worship is simple, participatory, and unprogrammed, preferably in a home. Such a simple faith would not require denominational labels, titles, properties, incorporations, or salaries. Just like minded folk gathering simply for fellowship.

I enjoy writing and sharing spiritual insight. I sometimes publish my writing on the web. A favorite verse is "Christ is all and in all" and that "God may be all in all".

Recently, I have been finding the study of Christian Gnosticism and Buddhism to be interesting.

What would be the perfect setting for a first meeting with a new friend or date?

First contact could be through email, and the phone.

What are your favorite activities? (Including leisure, artistic/musical, etc.)

I exercise everyday. Walks, weights, treadmill. The whole health routine.

I am passionate about learning and discovery. I enjoy worship music, bible tapes, theology, mystical writing, surfing the net, world religions and interacting with the insights of others.

What did you study? Did you like it? Would you like to do more?

I love learning. I have several degrees in a variety of fields. I suppose, if I had the time, I would enjoy going back and get a couple more. However, this is not likely nor a priority at this time.

What are some of your personal goals in life?

Listening to the still small voice of God and following.
For me that involves study, prayer and meditation. Not much else really. I am very content with life.
I want to keep it simple, comfortable, and peaceful.

What have you learned from past relationships?

Differences can make a relationship interesting, but there has to be enough common ground to make a friendship stable and secure.

Where were you born? Have you ever traveled? If so, where?

I was born in Canada. I have been to the Orient and South America.

My typical day. My daily routine.
I work full time. When I get home I like to eat, work out, check my email, and spend some devotional time reading, writing and meditating.

In his unlimited love,
Dean Johnson
