Okay, tonites treat everyone in the band (dan excluded. he's the strong silent
type.) will commentate.
from the desk of jesse jerk:
Well it's a sad day at Loud Pipes HQ. Joey D. is leaving us . He has to move
back to the East Coast
So... We will be getting a new drummer soon . THIS SUCKS ! Not only are we
losing our drummer , we are also going to miss him . He has to take care of
some family matter . We wish him all the luck in the world . We will be recording
our full length with him . We have a couple of guys in mind to take his place
. One is Bob Stubbs(former drummer of Social D. ) Our last show with Joe is
on the 22nd of nov. at the Hammer House . Come out and say good bye to him
. Hope to see you all there . That's all for now . Later
Joe: Yes..sad days....I will be leaving but look forward to our last shows.
Pit is off to teach his "guitar lessons" Can you say "slam
piece" VIVE LE ROCK people J
rox: We did an interview w/ Bobby for his zine, i think it should be out soon...
also look for our ad in suspect device, it should be coming out soon. I'm
about to launch my super new site: missroxie.com stay
tuned for more info on that... pits here so i'm gonna make him type something
too (i apologize in advance for his preoccupation w/ dicks)
Pit: Today I got my hair cut. I also bought a CD and played rock music. For
a short period in the evening I sued the term "slam piece" quite
a bit. The humor behind this statement soon faded and became quite an annoyance.
I haven't eaten a meal. In replace of said meal I have eaten candy and chips.
I recommend subscirbing to this diet if one wishes to become "husky".
Joe Likes soy milk. ALOT! thank you, that is all.
The Loud Pipes are Pleased To Introduce PIT! Our new Guitar Player...
We just added a show for Nov. 1st at The Hammer House w/ Ohio Ledgends THE
GC5!
This weekend, we've got some tricks up our sleeves, so stay tuned!
We did an interview w/ the City Life...check it out here.
The Updates are done Hank !
Enjoy.
The Castle is closing...strange. There's some strange stuff goin' on at The
Loud Pipes HQ... I'll post more on that later.
See ya at the show Friday!
There was a scheduling conflict w/ the Tiger Army show we're on at the Castle
Oct. 25th. It is the Policy of AJ Presents, The Promoter, or the Owners of
the Castle (I'm not sure), that if your on one of their shows you cannot have
another show within a certain amount of days. Its just a rule.
We had to go with one or the other, It was our decision to play the show at
The Castle. I APOLOGIZE to the kids booking the show at Skate City and REALLY,
REALLY wish we could do both shows. We we're totally looking forward to playing
with CUAD, and can't wait till they get back from tour and can book something
with them.
I hope everyone understands that its just a sticky situation w/ policy's and
stuff... it was no ones personal decision against anyone eles.
Remember... politics suck, i wish it could just be bands and kids having fun.
Sorry.
We Wanna Thank EVERYONE who showed up at the castle tonite! Considering how
messed up all the details got the show was ABSOULUTLY AWESOME!! We LOVE you
guys!! We'd so much rather play to a room of 20 people that actually show
up to have fun, than 100 people just there to look cool! You guys make all
the stupid aspects of this hobbie sooooo worth it! THANKS!
Can't wait to see everyone at the show on Tues Oct. 1st at the Hammer House!
Its gonna be so much fun to play at a wrecking yard! I'll post the directions
in a couple days (or as soon as you email them to me hank... again. what i'm
forgetful?)
See ya next time!
So we did it! We've got something recorded... and its available to everyone!
check it out and
let us know what you think. (it was recorded here, at *Loud Pipes HQ! *our
living room). The show at the castle
is tommorrow nite, hope to see everyone... it seems like forever since we've
played in vegas, unless you count dans wedding... i wonder if you do?
Check out our interview in the new issue of Suspect
Device... this is a rad zine, its about time vegas had some substantial
underground reading material again! and i'm not only saying that cuz he interviewed
us... but it doesn't hurt.
Jesse, Jaime-dirty baby/lucky
jett, & I just got home from The DEMONS & New Bomb Turks show
at the Cooler. one word: WOW! what a show!!
I was actually there to give the promoter a cd and try to schmooz my way on
to a show w/ MY VERY FAVORITE BAND IN
THE WHOLE WIDE WOLRD... but i'll stop gushing now, because i don't want
to jinx it.
its 2:30am, Good-nite.
So its true... Dan went and tied the knot this weekend.
Luckily he married a really great girl! Sorry i don't have any wedding pics
to post... i've been really lazy latley. We played after it was all official
and everything... it was pretty funny. Chris was at Bally's Slaving away,
so we had to wing it as a four piece, and all things considered it wasn't
that bad.
So i added a couple of shows to the listings, (some my fellow band mates might
not even be aware of). The show at The Hammer House is on a Tuesday, but that
place just seems sooo great, we gotta do it. Plus we always practice on Tuesday
anyway... so whats the difference, right? (thats my plea to Joe, Dan, &
Chris who probably don't know about it yet.) Suprise!
The show at The Castle this saturday was Supposedly canceled, but i got to
the bottom of it this afternoon and WE ARE DEFINATLY playing! the only others
confirmed so far are The Black Jetts but more bands will be announced... this
ones gonna be interesting!
Okay, So by
now we ALL know that the show on saturday was cancelled. It really sucks cuz
we were totally looking forward to playing in a wrecking yard. With a band
name like The Loud Pipes, you can see why it was right up our alley. Its not
for sure yet, but we MIGHT be playing a show with CUAD at the Castle Friday
the 13th. Don't worry i'll post if it goes through. We are FOR SURE playing
at the Castle on Saturday Sept 21st. I'm not sure what the line up is, but
rumor has it The Riffs will be here.
Okay, because i obviously have zero self pride and don't mind a good laugh
at my expense once in a while check out this link. The
Laboratory. Its actually a pretty funny story... but the readers digest
condensed version is these guys were nice enough to Fix my WACK-ASS computer
in exchange for me selling myself out in the name of Advertisment. I do highly
suggest that ANYONE who needs their computer fixed go to these guys though.
My computer runs like a top now, and thats saying a LOT!
Jess got ANOTHER new guitar today: a 1978 Gibson "The Paul" (not
to be confused w/ a Les Paul).
Its really super! Thanks the official sponser of "poor kids who like
guitars" Cowtown Guitars.
Aaaaah!!! We got back from Hollywood at 5am this morning! ROCK-N-ROLL!!!
The Trip there was funnier than i could even describe...Probably because we're
all seriously
Sleep deprived. We got there in enough time to go shopping and meet up w/
Dan & Co. Then off to the club...
GoldFingers is a Rad Club!
The First band Twisted Naked lived up to their name ending their Good Ole'
Fashion Punk Rock Set Completly shedding their Drag-Queen (gone terribly arye)
Get-ups and Screaming "would somebody please cut these hemroids off my
ass" completley naked!!
We played next, all squeezed on the Tiny stage with Joes HUGE kick drum...
It was great fun... (pictures coming soon!)
James Band The Slum Lords were Amazing Rockin' Roll, the girl that fronts
the band has got a rad voice! and a special thanks to their bass player for
loaning me his 8-10
Sullen played after that but we missed them because we had to load up the
van and start the INSANE trek home. Insane? Oh YES!!!
Half way home... just before Barstow Some NUT CASE comes Barrelling towards
us weaving by to barely miss us and hits the wall! ...Then Rolled a few times!
...Then Launched his tiny little acura into the desert!
Its so hard to actually articulate how fucking WILD it was... I woke up when
i heard his car hit the wall and saw the most amazing fire works display.
The the craziest thing happened... Joe (amazingly) brought the Van to a complete
stop with no major damage and Jesse ran over to help (breaking the door handle
off in a the process) and we all saw the guy WALK AWAY!!! NO DAMAGE done to
his person!!
I still can't believe it all... Turns out he was a fresh young Marine recruit
headed back to the base in Barstow for 5am roll call and was just driving
like hell to get there. When the cops got there jesse gave them loud pipes
shirts and we were able to take off... (and we were all VERY awake the rest
of the ride)
Thank good-ness everyone was okay.
its so strange how things work out.
If things had been just seconds off you could be reading The Loud Pipes Obituary
right now instead of this.
CRAZY!!!
See ya saturday at the Hammer House!!
Thats right! After waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much confusion we're gonna make it
after all! Unfourtunatly
we're not gonna make it for the show at Rumors on Saturday. Things got really
lame and I personally learned a valuable lesson. If you want things done right
you do them yourself.
Jess got a new pedal today... yeah! Exciting stuff around here... not much
goin on
We're hoping to play a show with curl
up and die before they take off again... cross your fingers.
Check out what The
Killers had to say about us on LVLOCALMUSICSCENE.COM,
its pretty funny...makes ya wonder if they're talking about the right jesse.
So yeah its been awhile. All I can really say is that i've been busy. No better
or worse excuse. Everythings been updated, enjoy.
As you may know the Pheonix show was cancelled. That explains why i'm here
Geeking and not there playing. Theres some pretty silly scene drama going
on, i'm sure you'll all be hearing about it in a matter of days. The shows
in L.A. next weekend may or may not happen, i'm still waiting to hear back
on whether the All Ages show was cancelled.
Jesse got a new amp. I got a new Guitar. Dans got ALOT happening (announcement
coming soon!) Chris is
getting a new Mac, and Joe went to see Elvis on a movie screen tonite.
I wish there was more to report, but its late and i can't really concentrate.
We're playing the Hammer House on September 7th, and The Castle with The Riffs
on September 21st.
Lasts nites rehearsal at The Boston was really funny!
I added some new Links
yesterday.
The Phoenix show is Set. Aug 24th @ The Rouge.
And The Los Angeles Show for Aug.31st at
The California Artists for Humanity building...
for more info check out our SHOWS
page.
Oh my goodness where do i start...
Well first things first... I updated the site and re-did the front page. those
of you who pay attention probably noticed our latest greatest feature "Loud
Pipes Website of the Month"! Julys site being SexyRocker.com
(You must check this out)!!
I also put up a new page entitled "Loud
Pipes: Important Stuff". I was thinking that the site was pretty
boring so to livin' things up we've compliled a bunch of news related links
and stuff. I'm not sure with what frequency its gonna get updated but keep
checking cuz i've already got some new columns i'm putting together.
You may have noticed that we have no definite shows to speak of either...
Thats all gonna change real soon i promise. we're just ironing out the last
little details.
I'm really suprised i can even finish a thought long enough to type this...i
went out on Saturday nite with Kelly (soon featured on the Important
stuff page). it was ugly. (big thanks to brent from 1/2 ast for babysitting
my stupid ass... which brings me to my next point. the merger of brent and
roxie in what will forever be known as SHITTY INDUSTRIES! more on that later.
Jesse sitting in the living room hitting a thosand notes at once and then
some chords...threatening that these will be the new Loud Pipes Songs...
So i think tonite we'll actually finish up the recording... well the first
three songs anyway. I updated the links
page today, if you get bored they should no dout supply you with endless
hours of wasted time. courtesy of me.
Anyone see the post from the mad
swede? i think jesse put the nix on it pretty quick... if you haven't
seen it check out the message
board. funny funny stuff.
I've gotta talk to Jaime from the
dirty babies tonite and see if he finalized any of the details for the
phoenix shows in August. Should be some Los Angeles shows coming up soon too.
(stay posted for details, as i'm ill prepared as usual.)
So anyone have any comments from the shows? it seems our message
board is at a stand still without all the Dan Vs. The Girls banter. Someone
post something interesting...please!!! even if it is just shit talk, it'll
keep me entertained.
Hey i also put up a little front page for The
Black Jetts, its all their gettin' till i get some cash. check it out
if your bored. http://www.theblackjetts.com
(happy birthday gabe!)
gotta go update the shows
page, with detail-less gigs.
Bye Bye...
So the show this weekend was fun, and its a damn good thing cuz its our last
one for awhile... last one for a long while here in vegas... We're still recording...
slow but steady. Its time to hide in the studio and write some songs i suppose...
I posted the pics
from the show on saturday, thank goodness for Katy and Jessica (who took the
photos).
More later...
Greetings from Loud Pipes HQ! Wednesday was the SHOW FROM HELL (which is kind
of ironic considering we were playing with the graves...) anyway, We were
up until like 3am the night before recording, everyone had to work the next
day... I had the dubious honor of getting all the gear sorted out from recording
the nite before and finding a ride to the club... then jesse was at his laywers
and locked the keys in the car, Sweet!
I had a brilliant idea on the way out the door that i'd play my V instead
of the good ole' Reliable Jazz Bass...then promptly got to the club and popped
the E string while tuning... Good ole' Ben from 2 cents worth let me borrow
his P bass thank goodness! (THANKS BEN!) And as you can tell from the pics
(that i just posted from the show) we had to set up on stage really weird
cuz of the Graves big drum set-up... Dan was on the floor most of the show
as not to feed back...
All in All it was just plain weird...
Saturday however is gonna rock! We're really excited to play with Piss Ant,
(who are also playing tonite at the Double Down).
Sooo check out the
pics, look forward to some video and mp3's soon! and we'll see ya tommorrow!
As i type this Jesse is mic-ing up his amp getting ready to do the guitar
tracks for the first three Loud Pipes songs to hit tape! Joe just left for
work. Like the champ he always is though he got the drum tracks done for "Jeni
Wont Go", "The Way" and "Out of Time". The Inviolet
Row boys are here helping out, and recording their new record on alternate
days... its nothing but fun (and noise) around this house, I'm sure the neighbors
are loving us! The show at Tremorz with the Graves is tomorrow, the show starts
at 7:00pm. We're gonna try to get some video from the show for the site...
the emphasis being on the word TRY.
On a much happier note Sammy (from DriveTrain
fame) is coming to town Wednesday, June 19th and were all gonna play together
at Tremorz!
The Loud Pipes, The Dirty
Babies and Sammy's new band Statch & the Rapes...plus one more band.
I can't wait to see him! I'm personally still REELING from last weekends show!
Everything turned out so well...
Its gonna be a funny show. Everyone from Drive
Train will Be Represented: Lenny, Rik, Sam & Jesse! Hey Rik! Here's
your chance for a REAL reunion ;)
Jesse's guitar is in the shop getting a re-fret so practice is off for a while...
The show went better than i ever could have imagined! Dan is the Singer we've
been waiting for, all the pics are posted check
out em' out. more later...
I guess its just becoming a sort of Loud Pipes tradition
to be rushing for a show...poor
dan's only got 2 more practices with us till his first show. If its any conselation
i have more faith this time than last.
I updated the site with some pictures we took tonite at practice...i guess
if you gotten thus far you noticed the one on the front page, and i added
some to our Story
page too. Enjoy... By the way people our guestbook
is being ignored!! ...well except for my bible thumping sister.
5/16/02
Just got back from watching Starwars,
with Lenny and Jamie (of The
Dirty Babies Fame). I should have updated a couple days ago to spread
the Good word...WE HAVE A SINGER! a Good, Reliable one at that! I know i've
said it before...but this time its for real. We're still playing the show
at Tremorz
on June 1st, just trying to iron out the details. Tonite i posted a pic of
jesse's ford...check
it out! I also added alot of new links if your bored they might entertain
you for awhile... I especially enjoyed Tweekers
and the Robotech site. (Jess and I
have been happily Geekin' on the 8 hour Macross City Tape he found from his
childhood for the last week.) ...Riot Grrrl Las
Vegas is over. Its sad, My crazy sister has been emailing me about Jesus H.
Christ, We Need a PA System, I lost my Job, Jesse Got a Triumph and is building
a Rat Bike, We're going to a car show in Paso Robles next weekend, my tea
is gone, its late, Chris and Anne Got a new Kitty, Joe's Kick drum is still
REALLY big, Dan got to see starwars before us, I'm re-doing the website this
weekend (knock on wood), I make t-shirts and am broke so if you want some
email me, its 2:00am and i'm rambling...Good
Nite.
5/13/02. Are you Happy Gilbert?
I really have nothing new to report, but for the sake of updating here i go!
Sickness, Birthdays (mine and Joe's), Emergency Practices and General Laziness
have kept us out of the Rehearsal studio for nearly 3 weeks... Do we have
a singer yet? No... Are we still Looking? YEEEEES!! Personal News: Joe Turned
21 last week, i turned 22 in April. Chris is still smoking and Jesse's
still a Jerk.
I put up the new cowtown site
a couple days ago, if your bored or in the market for a vintage guitar check
it out. The Dirty Babies
new site is up too...
Okay so its official WE NEED A SINGER! Why has this turned into such an ordeal?
Are we that hard to get along with? (well I know jesse
is, but people usually don't hold that against him...) I'm starting to have
paranoid delusions...is there a conspiracy?
So...we're going out this weekend with the EXPRESS INTENTIONS of Finding a
Singer! yeah, that and its a really good reason to party, you know under the
guise of actually doing something constructive...
I designed a new shirt tonite...its a picture of jesse
and joe from the last show, i'll probably make them tommorrow. Thats all the
news i can think of... Rehearsals at the Alamo are going fine, it feels like
a big club house. The folks there are really friendly, Always popping in and
saying whats up. Its kind of neat.
So it seems my post yesterday woke the dead...or at least the brain dead...anyway
here's brads official story on why he doesn't have what it takes to make it
as a Loud Pipe. If you ask me its a pretty sorry excuse, but hey some ones
gotta aspire to middle management, right kids?
So here's the email i got from brad this morning:
Am sure you guessed it, or probably just forgotten about me all together.
Well I am here and still alive, just wanted to drop you guys a line to tell
you that, my decision of not returning was based all upon myself, The Loud
Pipes are FUCKING GREAT!! INCREDIBLE!!!, everything I ever wanted, but it's
just my fucked up head that kept tellin me it's not what I need to do with
my life right now,
I mean let me clear that up. My work has offered me a managment position paying
unbelievable amount of money, and I can't pass it up, I just can't. So then
I started thinkin to myself well it's not fair to them (you guys) I couldn't
give 100% if I was gonna take this position, and when I am in a band thats
what I want to do, 100%.
I was completely way off and fucked up for not at least getting in touch with
you guys and letting you know what was up, but I never wanted to give it up
because giving up on the music and doing what I absolutely love was like saying
" I am giving up my lifes dream" does anyone ever want to do that?
it's like the final chapter.
so I guess I should stop makin yer ears bleed, but I just had to get this
off my conciense.
I didn't call (not because its the pussy way out) but easier to explain everything
in writing and reading. (ok kinda the pussy way out) lol
Well I will close for now, but, Just wanted to say thanks for letting me have
the oppurtunity to be with the NEXT BIG FUCKIN THING! THE LOUD PIPES
I will definetly support you in everything, and if ya need anything or what
have you....just call. I will keep a look out for you guys playin too.
p.s. u guys going to SuperSuckers on Wed. and Nashville Pussy on sat right!?
better! lol
Thanks again
KEEP IT LOUD!!!!
Brad"
Ha Ha Ha...
Oh yeah and on a lighter note Jesse Jerk and i went to the double down last
nite to see the briefs, we left after three songs...
Do i have news for you? OH YEAH!!!!!!
Well I guess i should start at the beginning. Oh yeah, and i'm sorry i haven't
updated in a while...i just looked at the site stats today and noticed we've
been getting alot of hits since we played that show, which by the way Thanks
to EVERYONE that showed up...
Speaking of The Tremorz show...The
Pics should be posted by the time everyone reads this, I Swear in the
future i'll be much Quicker in posting everything.
Has Anyone seen Brad? Well we havent' thats for sure, not since the show anyway...
I guess he doesn't wanna be a Loud Pipe. Hmph!
Thats okay, he's already been replaced...But sorry kids, its a suprise!
I'm not sure when the next shows gonna be. Jessica, formerly from the PinHeads
asked us to play the riot grrrl benefit show on June 1st.
We got the boot from our Rehearsal Space a couple weeks ago cuz we thought
we'd be rehearsing at brads then he went MIA. So now we're sharing a space
with Inviolet Row.
Well Well Welll...... We finally have us a singer !!! Our first pratice with
Brad workedout graet . I think he'll fit in just fine . He is a pompus ass
just like me . So get ready to get you head kicked in on the 24th . Las vegas
will finally have a SLEEEEZY Rock -n-Roll band that will live up to being
from Sin City . That's all for now . See you Jerks and Jerkettes later !!!!!
Lovingly yours , Jesse Jerk
I HATE THE DISTILLERS!
AHHHHHHHHHH....Last
nite we had a BBQ! wow... We ended up at the Palamino feeding ones to naked
strippers (while sippin' gin & tonics, I LOVE THAT PLACE!) any place where
they'll show you they're STUFF for $1 is highly recomended by me! and i'm
willing to vouch for the rest of the band that its LOUD PIPES approved!
Got the flyers done for the show at tremorz...click here
to check em' out!
Joe's
wife gave birth to they're baby girl Joey Elizabeth at 9:57 tonite! He says
both baby and mommy are doing fine!
In less life altering news we had a "fiesta" tonite at the house,
chris came over and our new singer (i think) Brad was here...i drank waaaaaaaaaay
too many margarita's and i KNOW i'm gonna pay for it tommorrow.
The footage we got the other day at practice wasn't very good, you really
couldn't hear the vocals. So we scraped it and tried again thursday...still
no luck.
We just got back from band practice...We recorded it on Jesse's Camcorder
and i'm gonna try to make some MP3's out of them if the vocals are clear enough
(knock on wood) otherwise your just gonna have to wait for the real recording...it
shouldn't be long though, the recording gear is sitting in my dinning room
and i think we're gonna start next week. sooooooooooo...
I FINALLY broke a Bass string tonite...i know that sounds pussy like i haven't
been trying hard enough, but its still a cute little milestone i think...and
since this Loud Pipes NEWS section is just turning into my own personal diary
i just thought i'd share.
I think thats it for now, The show at Tremorz
on March 24th with the Toilet boys
is gonna be our first show...
Did i previously suggest Hurrican Harry's? What the FUCK was i thinking??
That place was a NITE MARE...the only saving grace of the evening was when
the disco-fool dj's played "Black in Black" and I danced Like a
total reject in the middle of the dance floor...But then my so-called bestfriend
abandoned me (she said she was laughing too hard) and i narrowly escaped a
dry-humping from some Jock-disco guy....YUCK.
So anyway...i take it all back. Its not worth the free drinks.
Jesse's been really sick so we cut band practice short tonite...Then we went
to the Lucky Stiffs show at The Boston...It was cool, there were a bunch of
people there we haven't seen in a while. My friend Stacey's in Town from Colorado...its
been a couple months since she's been in town and there were some people she
had to see, Lick (oops, i mean Rick)
for instance.
Not much happening, The
Agent Orange show was cancelled so dont' bother showing up to the Junkyard
this Saturday, Something between the Promoters and the Venue, anyway save
your money and go to Hurricane Harry's (I heard they have free drinks from
10pm to 11pm).
Went to see The
Dillinger Escape Plan last nite... one word, ohmygawd! We're playing a
show with Ricky's new band The Gnomes (or Dirty Babies) and The Toilet Boys
at Tremorz on the 24th of March at Tremorz.
Tonite is Manic Hispanic at the Awards Ceremony for the Bowling Tournament...This
whole weekend got kinda fucked up, everyone that was supposed to be in town
wasn't.
Dillinger was the saving grace, even if you dont' dig hardcore i wouldn't
recomend missing this...its amazing. 15 seconds into the first song the Guitar
Player CRACKED the Singer in the Mouth with the really pointy headstock of
some metal guitar (picture a jackson). It looked like he lost his tooth...they
turned on the lights and i think they were even looking for it...but anyway
the show went on and was...Amazing.
Since the DIY
Bowling Tournament is once again gracing our lovely city i took the liberty
of putting up last years Bowling pics...No none of us were on a team. But
i had my trusty Polaroid so at least they're's Pictures to proove it. Anyway
check them out
The milk went bad. oh yeah and remember, Saturday Febuary 23rd is our first
show, with Agent
Orange at the Junk Yard Live on Eastern and Sahara.
Not much going on, another weekend spent in search of car parts... Jesse &
Chris took me with em' to the
out door swap meet today... It was RAD. Jess bought me a new sling shot! Then
i promptly came home, aimed too high at the pigeon, and hit the neighbors
house...Oops! and all of you that are saying to yourselves..."wait, roxie...your
a vegetarian!" i will say this: its all about the HUNT, not the KILL...besides
i figure it like this, all those animals i'm saving by not eating hamburgers
and chicken wings, I've gotta lotta room to sling pebbles at those bastard
pigeons in my backyard! Besides i'm a really bad shot...
That was short lived...Jesse's singing again. Practice was over after he broke
the second string of the evening so we stole some sod and went home...and
like a couple of tweekers we LAID sod at 11' o'clock!
Josette said she'd do it, so we took her to practice last nite. Nothing
Yet... She's says she's gotta right lyrics...
I had an epiphany...some of you may know, we need a singer. Bad... Jesse hates
his voice and just wants to concentrate on guitar, Chris wont do it, there's
no way in HELL i'm doing it (one word: Dalians)
and Joe is probably capable, but he's not either. oh yeah, so my epiphany...i
was sitting in the bathtub today when it hit me: JOSETTE! I gotta go find
her number...
We just got back from The Dead Kennedys
show It was a rousing evening...considering jess got his Back injury scripts
filled earlier this afternoon and we were bothed hiked up on Soma's. I guess
just saying it was weird seeing brandon
cruz singning jello's
songs is an understatment, Jesse actually grew up in San Francisco and is
a DIEHARD Jello fan. Anyway, We left half way through the set...just long
enough to hear "to drunk to fuck" and too long for Pinkies (The
venue) cause jess managed to steal some 59' caddie tail lights (56' chevy
wagon) off some prop car/couch they had there.
Which i guess will bring me right along to my next subject...the lovely morning
i spent with Jesse and chris at "the lots" (and for all the unknowing...that
is the old car junkyards.) At first it seemed like it was all for not...we
walked around looking through alot of old bronco's and other trucks searching
for a small block engine. Jess needed the reverse sunk oil pan for the chopped
50' ford he's building (and if you didn't know that by now...your just
not paying attention.) anyway they finally found one, and in lew of sitting
there all day with a tool box full on misc. socket wrentches, jesse some how
got some guy driving a fork lift to fucking RIP the Engine out with a couple
of chains. Then on to another yard where chris found the oil filter he needed
for his Chevy...all the while ducking under the monstrous mt. car-more.
So everything accomplished we found our way to the FINE DINNING establishment
known to the Lay-man as the "IRON
SKILLET" where in fact you are are served on ALUMINUM skillets...but
i guess thats just a minor detail.
