Tidy Trax

What is the label's history?
The label was set up in 1995 by Amadeus Mozart, Andy Pickles, and Paul Janes for Music Factory Entertainment. The label was set up to put out material that was to hard and banging for major labels to understand. Tony De Vit and the sound of Trade were the inspirations behind the sound of Tidy and over a short period of time soon became the biggest selling hard house label in Europe. In fact Tidy were the first label to use the name Hard House within in their label identity. The label now sells over a quarter of a million units a year which is not bad for a small independent hard house label based in the back streets of Rotherham.

Who are the main players behind the label?
The main players within the Tidy towers are Andy Pickles, Amadeus Mozart and Paul Janes. Andy runs the every day running of the label (he is the shoulders) Amadeus is the A & R and artistic idea's man (he is the ears) and Paul certainly shaped the sound of Tidy in its early days with his technical wizardry on production (he is the fingers). Andy and Amadeus also have been heavily involved in the production side , all 3 have produced under many many different names on the label, to initially create identity for the artist roster. Now that Andy and Amadeus' time is now spent running the label other producers are now working with the Tidy team to keep production level up. Tidy is a team effort there are many main players behind the scene who make it all happen.

What have been the label's highlights?
Working with Tony De Vit who will always be remembered as the godfather of Hard House. Also being the label that developed the sound of UK Hard House the Untidy Dubs inspired a new generation of UK producers.
