If you have the facemaker disk but your faces aren't working on line here is the way to fix it. First close won so it is not open on your task bar or tray before editing these files. Open the file (C:\programfiles\won\wonplay\hoyle.ini) and look for the line that reads UseFaceFile=0, change the 0 to a 1. Then open the file c:\programfiles\won\wonplay\genericmap.ini and look for the line that reads (1=d:\program files\won\facemaker). Change the d in that line to c or whatever drive your won is installed on. Save the file when you are done.

If friends you add disappear and you have to add them again then your friends list is full. To remove friends that are no longer here or are now playing under a different name, edit the file (C:\programfiles\won\wonplay\hoyle.ini). In this file friends are stored in the format F#friends-name. Delete the whole line including the F# in front of the name and save the file when you are done.
