Training is provided for Level I, II, or III (the highest) certification per A C. E. - TAC - 1 and including SNT-TC-1A and MIL-STD-410.
Education is provided by A C. E. and/or by an approved vendor. College credits are issued according to applicable policies and program difficulty.
Training focuses on applications rather than on theory, whereas education focuses on higher reasoning rather than on opinion. In lay terms, certified personnel follow specification requirements, right or wrong (if it is wrong, it is the responsibility of the specifier), whereas educated personnel follow logic.

Training for Certification
Purpose: To become certified so accept or reject determinations can be made.
Financial Considerations: This promotes employment for certified personnel. Organizations benefit through quantification of quality areas, such as using SNT-TC-1A to help design and invent NIST and/or ISO. For the employer, products and services can be tested and/or handled by competent personnel in a consistent manner normal to the industry.

Financial Considerations: This prepares people to run organizations. Organizations benefit through leverage, such as for instance, an educated nation knowing how to properly prevent terrorism without loss of freedom for the governed. For the employer, cutting edge technologies cognitive personnel maximize objective profitability and minimize undesirable subjective customer purchase reluctance areas.
Here is an example of a project leader trained and educated by A C. E.:
Frank Gagliardo of Siemens / Westinghouse Technical Services of New Jersey, a business of Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc., enlisted the aid of Waukesha Electric Systems in providing electric power in the State of New York.
Frank had worked on many special projects previously, such as involving World Trade Center engineering invulnerability efforts prior to the 9/11/01 terrorism strikes, and such as efforts to get customer(s) to understand the importance of utilizing petroleum protective coatings with regard to extremely dangerous high power electricity system platforms.
A C. E. provided Frank and other experts from various states with training and education relative to electrical system vulnerability along with current electrical system problems encountered, after which solutions were implemented. One solution, for instance, was the construction of an electric substation ultrasound path. With a substation worth perhaps 1/2 million dollars, not to mention the end-user value for all the people and buildings using the electric power, the value skyrocketed.
A C. E. training and education for this special project took place at the Doctors University of New York on Long Island, September, 2002.
