The Game Gear stormed into the handheld market heading for trouble with Nintendo's own masterpiece, the Game Boy. Again, the Game Gear was technically far more superior to the Game Boy. For a start, the Game Boy had dull green and grey colourings whilst the Game Gear was in full colour, the game gear had much better games and accessories such as the TV tuner and was also backlit.
Unfortunately, though the Game Gear had tons of amazing games, Nintendo still beat Sega and is still ruling the handheld market today. The Game Boy had more games than the Game Gear adding to its popularity and the Game Gear was also infamous for draining batteries like a leech. Still, it was all I played when I was stuck in hospital once!
