All exhibition fantails should be rung with a size B ring

WHITES:

HEAD- Small fine and free from peak or shell.
BEAK- Thin flesh coloured and of medium length, the upper mandible slightly curved at the tip. The beak wattle should be small and fine in texture
EYE- Dark hazel or bull with a fine flesh coloured cere.
NECK- Thin, nicely curved and tapering off towards the head. The length of neck corresponding with the length of back, so as to enable the head to rest closely in the centre of the cushion. POINTS 7
BODY - Small and round. The length of back to be short enabling the head to rest on the cushion with ease. Rump to be of sufficient size and strength to balance the tail evenly. Chest to be well rounded and showing full rounded appearance from the neck to the legs. POINTS 20
CUSHION AND TAIL- Cushion full and massive, the feathers at the front and back overlapping each other, extending well up the tail feathers. Tail slightly concave and circular, closely filled with long broad evenly set feathers well overlapping each other. POINTS 20
LEGS AND FEET- Legs short or moderately short and free from feathers below the hocks. Thighs to blend into body contour. Legs should be fairly well forward and set well apart. Feet small, fine and neat, bright red in colour. POINTS 10
CARRIAGE AND MOTION - The bird should stand on its toes and walk in a jaunty manner with its head thrown back in a graceful manner and resting in contact with the centre of its cushion. Body to be carried so that the chest forms the highest point of the curve and without any sign of reaching to break the symmetry of the body. Flights should be short, close fitting and almost meeting at the tips, the wing butts should be blended evenly into the curve of the chest without showing any signs of openness. Tail carried well up, not being allowed to drop or incline forward, with the bottom shoeing feathers touching or almost touching the ground. When settled the bird should be steady and well balanced. POINTS 33
PLUMAGE - Pure white, hard and tight fitting with broad good quality feathers and showing as little sign of softness as possible. POINTS 10

COLOURS:

- The White standard applies to all colours of fantails with additional points for colour, markings, lacing etc, as follows:
BLACK - Beak and Claws - Black or dark drab. Eye pearl or orange with dark cere Plumage - Jet black throughout, free from rustiness or a chequery appearance and covered with a rich beetle green and purple lustre on the neck. Points 10
BLUE - Beak and Claws - Black or dark drab. Eye pearl or orange with dark cere. Plumage - Clear sound lavender blue, free from sootiness or bronzing and with no inclination to run light on the rump. The feathers on the neck and throat should be covered with an iridescent metallic sheen. The wing and tail bars should be well defined. The tail feathers should be edged all round with the same colour as the body. Points 10
SILVER - Beak and Claws - Flesh or light coloured. Eye pearl or orange with a flesh coloured cere. Plumage - One even shade of colour throughout, approaching that of silver metal, with no tendency to a creamy or dun shade, the wing bars and bar on the tail feathers should be black, broad and well defined. The feathers in the neck hackle to be of a slightly darker shade than the body colour and covered with all iridescent metallic sheen. The quill of the feathers to be a light flesh colour. Points 10
RED - Beak and Claws - Flesh or light coloured. Eye orange with a light cere. Plumage - A clear rich bright chestnut free from sootiness or any tendency to a bluish tint. The feathers upon the neck and throat should display an iridescent rose sheen. Points 10
YELLOW - Beak and Claws - Flesh coloured. Eye pearl or orange with a light cere. Plumage - A bright rich golden yellow, with no tendency to run light on the rump. The feathers upon the neck and throat should display a delicate iridescent sheen. Points 10
SADDLES - Beak and Claws - Flesh coloured. Eye dark hazel or bull with flesh coloured cere. Markings - The wings should he marked evenly, the ten outside feathers being white, with the rest of the wing feathers to be coloured. The body excepting the back, to be white. In the barred colours, the wing bars to be clear and distinct. Markings 10 Colour 10
LACE - Plumage - A complete absence of webbing, each plumule being separate. Lacing 10 Colour 10
TAILMARKS - Beak and Claws - Flesh coloured. Eye dark hazel or bull. Markings - The whole of the tail, including the front and back cushion feathers to be coloured. In barred colours the tail bar to be clear and distinct. The remainder of the bird to be white. Markings 10 Colour 10
DUN - Beak and Claws - Drab. Eye orange with drab cere. Plumage - A soft even shade of dull reddish brown, without any tendency to a purple or bluish tint. The feathers upon the neck and throat should display an iridescent metallic sheen. Points 10
CREAM - Beak and Claws - Drab. Eye orange with a flesh coloured cere. Plumage - A pale creamy-fawn free from sootiness or ticking, wing bars to be a rich golden yellow and well defined. Tail and primaries a pale creamy ash with no dark flecks. The feathers in the neck and hackle to be a darker shade than the body colour and to show an iridescent metallic sheen. Points 10
MISMARKS - Beak and Claws - Varied colours. Eye and eye cere varied colours. Plumage - White feathers in an otherwise coloured bird or coloured feathers in a white bird. No points are to be given for colour/markings.
CHEQUER - Plumage - The ground colour of the head, neck, body, rump, tail and thighs should be a rich uniform shade. Chequering to be an even pattern on the wing coverts. The neck should carry a lustrous green or purple sheen. Points 10
GRIZZLE - Beak and Claws - Flesh coloured. Eye dark hazel or bull. Markings - To show clear expression of the grizzle factor and with a total absence of white feathers on the tail and wings. Points 10
POWDERED SILVER - Peak and Claws - Horn coloured. Eye pearl or orange. Plumage - Clear, sound, light silver on body, wings and tail. Free from sootiness and having no tendency towards cream, yellow or purple colouration. An even and distinct pastel shade should be sought after and there should be an impression of being sprinkled with a powdery glow. The neck and throat feathers should be slightly darker than the body, displaying an iridescent metallic sheen, with no sign of cream, yellow or purple colouration in evidence. The wing and tail bars should be clearly defined, dun coloured and as dark as possible. Beyond the terminal bar, the tail feathers should be edged with the same colour as the body. Checkering should be considered a fault. Points I0
POWDERED BLUE - Beak and Claws - Black. Eye pearl or orange. Plumage - Clear, sound light milky blue on body, wings and tail. Free from sootiness and having no tendency towards cream, yellow or purple colouration. There should be au overall impression of being lightly flecked, but not checked with powder. The neck and throat feathers should be slightly darker than the body, displaying an iridescent metallic sheen, with no sign of cream, yellow or purple colouration in evidence. The wing and tail bars should be clearly defined, dark and as close to black as possible. Beyond the terminal tail bar, the feathers should be edged with the same colour as the body. Checkering should he considered a fault. Points 10
