Atheist's Rickity Rizz
Time: 3:01
Story Behind Track: Not much of a story to be told really. This was the second track to be written by Dyssociated. I wrote "Atheists rickity Rizz" and "Spookem Ookems" on the same night. After writing Spookem Ookems, I wanted a more industrial'ish darker feeling song and thus I wrote ARR (for short). Whereas Spookem Ookems was a throw down of a shitload of riffs one after the other with exception for the chorus, ARR was made with a structure behind it. I just recently went back and mastered the track musically, as well as added audio sampling to the intro and outros.
Intro: "We're all Monkeys" (from 12 Monkeys)
Outro: Reverend singing "God is in his holy temple....(from Poltergeist)
Meaning of Song: For me, this would be my theological stance song..While I could lie in debate with myself as to whether I'm an atheist or Satanist, this song with it's more mechanical technological approach feels like an atheistic song to me. In those regards, I picked the audio track "We're all Monkeys" clip to lay it all out bluntly..No god, no differentiation between us and animals..we are primates. The last riffs contain riffs using a strung instrument, and have a lonely feel to them, to me signifying the fact we are alone, until the rev pops in singing his "God's love, god's damnation" song which attacks and ultimately appeals to those who suffer within this lonely and meaningless existence.
Rickity Rizz Is a term me and my roomies conjured up to describe an old man shaking his fist or finger. A funny image, not one I would associate with myself..But this is sort of my shaking my fist at everyone saying "fuck it..I dont believe in god..think what you want."
