• The Saiya-jin Arrive Two space pods have landed in Eastern City, and they’ve created huge craters where they landed. A small Saiya-jin with black, spiky hair, and a large, bald Saiya-jin. While the inhabitants start screaming and running around panicking, both Saiya-jin hover up into the sky. The large, bald Saiya-jin screams and raises two fingers. There’s a huge explosion that can be seen from outer space. When the dust clears away, we see that the city is completely destroyed, and all the inhabitants have been killed. The smaller Saiya-jin, Vegeta, shouts at the other Saiya-jin (Nappa) that one of the Dragonballs might have been in the area Nappa just destroyed. Nappa apologizes, and then turns his scouter on. Finding two large powers, the Saiya-jin head off towards Piccolo and Gohan in the wild. Piccolo and Gohan sense the Saiya-jin coming towards them. Kuririn, as well as Tenshinhan and Chaozu also start flying towards the place. Kuririn arrives, and Piccolo talks about how Kuririn has gotten much stronger over the year. All of a sudden, the Saiya-jin arrive, laughing maniacally. They ask the Earth’s fighters where the Dragonballs are, but of course nobody knows. Nappa then takes a little bottle out, and fishes out six seeds. One by one, he plants them in the ground and then sprinkles some sort of a liquid onto them. Nappa laughs once again, and steps back. All of a sudden, six aliens burst out of the ground. Nappa explains that these green little men are Saibamen (called Cultivars in the Manga), and each one of them is just as strong as Raditsu. The Saibamen start squealing and screaming, and scamper off towards the Z Warriors. Just then, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, and Yamucha arrive. Vegeta suggests a series of one-on-one battles, and the Z Warriors accept. • The Battle against Saibamen Meanwhile, the media has just discovered the alien pods in Eastern City. Yajirobe informs them where the battle is taking place, and they head off for that place. After a while, they arrive, and start filming. Now, the whole world sits and watches the great battle on their televisions. A helicopter tries to get a close up of the Saiya-jin, and the helicopter and the men inside are killed by Nappa. After that, the media just sits back and films the fight. Tenshinhan is chosen to be up first, and for a while he just stares at the Saibaman he’s going to fight. He tries a special Ki technique, but it doesn’t do any damage. The Saibaman jumps up and acid shoots out of a slit in his forehead. Tien dodges this easily, and after some fighting easily defeats his opponent. Kuririn says he’ll go next, but Yamucha says that he’ll go, since Kuririn can’t be wished back again if he dies in the battle. Then, the Saibaman and Yamucha buzz off at super-speed, and after a while the Saibaman gets a few hits on Yamucha. In rage, Yamucha blasts a Kamehameha and fries the alien. He stands on the ground, and starts bragging that he could take on all the Saibamen by himself. Suddenly, the Saibaman he was fighting jumps up and paralyzes Yamucha in a hold. It turns out that the Saibaman wasn’t dead after all, and the alien goes Kami-kaze, sending him and Yamucha to Hell. Kuririn is really pissed off now, knowing it was his duty to fight that alien. He powers up like a freak, and creates a huge energy blast, which splits into five blasts. Three Saibaman are killed, and one dodges the blast. The remaining beam hits the Saiya-jin with a huge boom. Everybody thinks Kuririn must have killed the Saiya-jin, but they just walk out and say that Kuririn’s blast wasn’t very strong. Suddenly, the Saibaman that escaped ambushes Gohan, but Piccolo finishes him with a blast from his mouth. • The Battle Begins - the Ruthless Nappa Nappa powers up and electric bolts dance around him, as everything starts shaking. He looks at Tien, screams, and appears behind Tien. Tenshinhan is brutally beaten up, and Nappa kicks him up into the sky. Tien tries a Ki Blast, but Nappa flies even higher and delivers Tien a painful kick in the back. By now, Tien is really bloody, and can’t hold on much longer. Nappa constantly beats Tenshinhan up, and the Saiya-jin tries a Chou attack (a punch, except you put a lot of force into it). Tien blocks it with his left arm, and in a blood bath his arm is ripped off, bone and all. By now, Tien is really hurt and can barely move. Tenshinhan’s best friend Chaozu then flies up and latches himself onto Nappa’s back. In a flood of tears, Chaozu tells Tien to save himself, and says goodbye. Tenshinhan realizes that Chaozu is going to go Kami-kaze, and yells for him to stop. Then, in a really huge explosion, Chaozu blows himself to bits and the blast totally engulfs Nappa. • Tenshinhan's Last Try Tien tries hard to hold his tears back, and after swearing at Nappa, he starts fighting him again. Even though Tien is super pissed, he can’t do anything, and gets bashed up violently. Piccolo and Kuririn formulate a plan to fight Nappa. When the alien is distracted, Piccolo punches him in the face, and Kuririn hits him to the ground with both fists clenched together. Piccolo tells Son Gohan to blast Nappa, but Gohan just freezes. The child gets really scared, and runs away behind a rock pillar. Piccolo curses and tries to blast Nappa himself, but it’s too late. Now, Nappa is really, really angry, and starts to beat Kuririn and Piccolo up. They back off from Nappa, and try to formulate another plan. On the ground, Tenshinhan remembers once again how Chaozu sacrificed himself for nothing, and starts powering up. He gathers huge amounts of energy in his right palm, and shouts out "I will avenge you Chaozu! Shin Ki-Koho! " Nappa sees the blast at the last second, and barely manages to put his hands in front of his face. There’s a huge, huge blast, and almost everything in the surrounding area is destroyed. However, when the dust settles, Nappa emerges, still alive. Tien can’t believe it, and without any more energy, he passes off to Heaven. • The Time-Out Kuririn curses, and wonders why Son Goku isn’t here yet. Vegeta gets interested in Goku, and the Saiya-jin orders Nappa to take a three-hour break, in order to include Kakarotto in the battle. Meanwhile, Son Goku has gotten back across Snake Road, and quickly gets teleported to Kami’s Lookout. With two Senzu beans given from Korin, Son Goku eats one and heads out on Kinto-Un towards the battle. Back on the battlefield, Nappa gets bored and goes off to kill the media people filming the battle. In a few minutes, he kills hundreds of Earthlings. Then, he returns to the battle, and by that time three hours are up. Vegeta flicks his scouter on, and gets a really high power reading for Goku. He orders Nappa to kill Piccolo, Kuririn, and Gohan right away. In one blast, Nappa nearly kills Kuririn, and now Kuririn is totally disabled and just lies on the ground. Next, he beats Piccolo up, and nearly knocks him unconscious. After that, Son Gohan gets roughed up really bad, and almost dies. Nappa decides to end the battle, and charges one of his Chou Ki blasts up. • Piccolo's Sacrifice When the Saiya-jin is fully powered up, he fires the energy at the helpless Gohan. However, in an unexpected move, Piccolo jumps in front of the blast, and receives it head on. When the blast is over, Piccolo drops down and starts to die. He tells Gohan that Gohan was the only friend he had, and then dies. This, of course, makes Gohan incredibly pissed off. He yells, and starts charging up a Masenko. Vegeta gets a large power on Gohan, and Nappa meets the blast. The alien deflects the blast, and only his arm gets slightly burnt. Out of energy, all Son Gohan can do is receive Nappa’s kicks and punches. Saying that he’s gonna send Gohan to Hell, Nappa gets ready for a final kick. Just as he is about to kill Gohan, Kinto-Un saves Gohan and carries him a little ways away. Vegeta detects a power and looks up – it’s Son Goku! Kuririn and Gohan start laughing and celebrate that Goku has finally come. • Nappa's End Son Goku hovers down, and looks really mad. As he walks towards Nappa, he looks at the dead corpses of his friends – Yamucha, Tenshinhan, and Piccolo. Nappa laughs and says that there was another one (Chaozu), but there isn’t a corpse since he was blown to bits. Son stares and Nappa, then goes off towards Gohan and Kuririn. He gives them half a Senzu bean each, and tells them to stand back. Then, Goku goes towards Nappa, and starts powering up. Vegeta turns his scouter on and gets a power for Goku that is higher than that of Nappa’s. Nappa says that it’s a malfunction, and tries to slam Goku. Son Goku jumps up, flies behind him, and kicks him really hard in the neck (all of this was too fast to see). Nappa gets up and says that that actually hurt a lot. Meanwhile, Urani Baba (an old witch) arrives at the Kame House. Since the T.V. crew was killed, the gang uses Baba’s crystal ball to view the battle. Nappa starts fighting again, but all of his punches and kicks are dodged Son Goku. Nappa powers up like a freak, and Vegeta tells him to calm down. Nappa tries a Bakuhatsuha (where he raises two fingers), and misses Goku again. Both Saiya-jin hover in the sky, face to face. Nappa fires a blast from his mouth, and Goku counters it with a Kamehameha. Vegeta says that Nappa has been defeated, and orders Nappa to come down. Nappa laughs, and says that he’s going to kill Gohan and Kuririn, and flies off towards them. Son Goku shouts out for the Kaio-ken attack, and speeds off towards Nappa. He kicks Nappa, then reaches the ground before him and punches him, snapping his backbone. Goku hurls Nappa at Vegeta, Nappa asks Vegeta to help him up. The Saiya-jin grabs Nappa’s hand, and with an evil grin he hurls Nappa up into the air. Then, Vegeta powers up and shoots a really huge blast at Nappa and kills him. • Son Goku versus Vegeta Son Goku can feel this guy’s power, and he knows that Nappa wasn’t even close to this guy. He tells Gohan and Kuririn to go to the Kame House, and in a touching scene, they say goodbye and fly off. Then, Goku tells Vegeta to fight him somewhere else, where no one else will die. Both of them fly off, and after a while they land on another landscape. Vegeta gives Son Goku one last chance to join the Saiya-jin, but Goku refuses yet again. Then, Goku jumps up towards Vegeta, and they start punching and kicking. The only difference is, Vegeta is just fooling around, while Goku is actually trying. Then, Vegeta jumps away, flies back, and hits Goku again and again. Son Goku goes back and stands on a cliff, and knows that there is only one way to beat him. He yells out, "Kaio-ken!" and a red aura of Ki surrounds him. Goku releases his Ki as air, and it actually destroys the cliff Vegeta was standing on. He flies off towards Vegeta, and starts roughing him up. After a few punches, Vegeta smashes Goku into several layers of rock. Then, he laughs and says that Kaio-ken can’t compete with his elite power. Meanwhile, from behind a cliff, Yajirobe is watching the battle. Vegeta powers up, as the land starts shaking and winds start blowing. Ready to go, Vegeta meets Goku head on and rips him apart. He moves about twice as fast, and Son Goku can’t handle him. Then, Vegeta fires what looks like a Hadouken, and Son yells "Double Kaio-ken!" The Hadouken barely misses him, and burns off half of his shirt. Taking the other half off, Son Goku pushes his body to the limit, as he shouts, "Triple Kaio-ken!" Son Goku’s muscles bulge out, his hair sort of stands up, and he gets way stronger and faster. At the Kame House, the crystal ball shatters from the immense energy of the triple Kaio-ken. • Beam Collision Goku disappears and appears right at Vegeta’s face, and hits him really hard. The Saiya-jin prince tries to fight back, but it’s useless. Son punches Vegeta literally through a mountain. Vegeta tries to get up and counter-attack, but once again Goku’s right there, and he punches Vegeta in the stomach. Vegeta spits out blood, and Son Goku continues bashing his body up. As a last resort, Vegeta tries a Chou Punch, but Goku just grabs it and squeezes. Then, Goku bashes Vegeta around like a rag doll, and kicks him into several feet of hard rock. Goku jumps back and relaxes his body, as Vegeta tries to hold back the pain. Getting up, he can’t handle the fact that Goku is stronger than he is, and goes crazy. Vegeta flies up into the sky, and says that he’ll destroy the Earth with a huge energy blast. Son Goku sees that he has no choice, and powers up a Kamehameha along with triple Kaio-ken. Vegeta gathers energy for his attack, and lighting starts shooting around everywhere. Son Goku’s muscles bulge again, and energy gathers in his palms. After about a minute of this, both Saiya-jin release their beams. Vegeta’s Gallic Blast and Goku’s Kamehameha meet each other in the air. Vegeta is losing slightly, but Goku knows that he’s running out of energy. He prepares himself, hopes that he’ll survive, and then shouts out, "Quadruple Kaio-ken!" A huge increase of energy blast up Vegeta’s beam, and blows Vegeta up into the sky. Really beat, Goku just falls down. Yajirobe runs out, and says that he was going to step in any moment. Son Goku, however, tells him to run away because Vegeta isn’t dead yet – the beam has only delayed him. Yajirobe immediately goes back into hiding, and Goku tries to prepare himself for another round. • Vegeta Transformed Vegeta comes down, really, really roughed up, and starts laughing. He explains that the reason Saiya-jin transform into Oozarru’s is that moonlight contains an element called Brute Rays. During a Full Moon, the moon can emit up to 70,000 Brute Rays, allowing the Saiya-jin to transform. Then, he says that Saiya-jin have a substitute for the Full Moon – still laughing, Vegeta creates a Power Ball and launches it up into the sky. He stares at it, and immediately the transformation is engaged. Fur sprouts out, Vegeta gets bigger, and he gets red eyes. Meanwhile, far away, Kuririn and Gohan see the huge ball in the sky, and decide that they must help Son Goku. They make a U-turn, and head back towards the battle. The ape smashes Goku around painfully, and crushes him really bad. Goku tries running away, but the ape can run faster. In the end, Goku is cornered up against a cliff and doesn’t know what to do. Suddenly, he sees the sun up in the sky, puts his hands by his face, and shouts out "Taiyo-Ken (Solar Flare)!" The ape is blinded from the glare of light, and Son flies back half a mile away from the ape. Realizing that it’s his last chance, Goku starts gathering life force for the Genki-Dama blast. He asks for energy from all living things, and all things in nature – plants, trees, grass, animals, birds, even water. Son starts getting a lot of energy, and begins forming it into a ball. Meanwhile, Vegeta has recovered from the sun glare, and flies off towards Goku. Son Goku completes the Dama, and brings his arm back to throw it, but just then Vegeta shoots a blast from his mouth and Son Goku drops the Ki ball! • Battle's End There’s a really big explosion, way bigger than an atomic one, and the whole Earth starts to shake. Afterwards, Vegeta is still alive, and Goku just lies on the ground, knowing that it’s all over. The huge ape jumps and breaks both of Goku’s leg bones. Then, he picks him up, and starts crunching one bone after the other. Meanwhile, Gohan and Kuririn have arrived at the battlefield, and they see the big ape. Yajirobe also meets up with them, and together they decide that Kuririn and Gohan will create a distraction, while Yajirobe tries to cut off the ape’s tail. After a while, this is managed, and Vegeta transforms back to his normal state. Now he’s really pissed, and beats Kuririn up really bad. After that, he starts roughing Gohan up. Meanwhile, Goku calls Kuririn by him, and gives him a gift. Son explains that he’ll give Kuririn energy that was left from the Genki-Dama, and Kuririn creates another (weaker) Dama. Kuririn watches Gohan and Vegeta battle, and throws it while Vegeta is distracted. However, Vegeta spots it at the last second, and jumps over it. Gohan gets a rebound, and the ball hits Vegeta. After the explosion, it turns out that Vegeta is still just barely alive! He starts fighting Gohan again, and Yajirobe makes a brave move and slashes Vegeta from the back with his sword. Shocked and angry, Vegeta walks towards Yajirobe, and beats him up really bad. Meanwhile, Gohan’s tail has somehow grown back. Son Goku asks him to look up at the Power Ball, and Gohan manages to do so, triggering his Oozarru transformation. With little energy to defend himself, Vegeta is painfully smashes around. He manages to create a Kienzan (Energy Disk), and cut Gohan’s tail off. However, he didn’t account for the falling ape, and gets painfully crushes by Gohan. In a few moments, Gohan returns to his normal state. Vegeta knows he has no more energy left, and calls his space pod to the battlefield. It arrives, and he tries to crawl back in. However, Kuririn catches up, and grabs Yajirobe’s sword. Just as he is about to slit Vegeta’s throat, Goku yells for him to stop. Son Goku says that even though Vegeta is a threat to Earth, he is a great warrior, and Goku respects him for that. Son asks Kuririn to let Vegeta go, and after some hesitation, Kuririn agrees. When safely back inside the space pod, Vegeta tells them that he’s going to come back and destroy them all. With that, the alien blasts off from Earth, leaving the Z Warriors lying on the battlefield… |
