This section has most eras throughout the series listed. It describes who was the greatest and most talented fighter of that time, and gives a brief summary on what the fighter's skills are based on. This is one of the many 100% original sections in our site. Please take note that this page doesn't always list the strongest fighter, but rather the greatest fighter. I'd appreciate any comments/controversies for this section to be mailed to me. Please read on now. 21st Budoukai Era Greatest Fighter: Kame-sennin (Roshi) Second Greatest: Son Goku This was the Era with Kame Elder at his best. Although he was over three hundred years old at this time, he was still the best warrior on the Earth. Kame-sennin was also appointed the winner of this Budoukai. 22nd Budoukai Era Greatest Fighter: Tenshinhan Second Greatest: Son Goku Son Goku had been doing hard training for this Budoukai, and his power level was relatively high at the time. Tenshinhan, who was Tsuru-sennin’s pupil, was equally as strong as Goku, according to the Daizenshuu. He was slightly more talented and succeeded in winning the tournament. 23rd Budoukai Era Greatest Fighter: Son Goku Second Greatest: Piccolo Jr. Piccolo, the demon king’s son, and Son Goku both possessed exactly the same strength, and this caused a long battle. Since Son Goku won the tournament, we can assume that he was the best fighter. Raditz Era Greatest Fighter: Piccolo Second Greatest: Raditz One might say that Gohan was the second best, but that is incorrect. He was only the second strongest. Raditz was only slightly weaker than Gohan, and he knew how to control his power better. We can tell that Piccolo was the very best by looking at his fighting technique as well as the strengths of his Beam Cannons. Saiya-jin Era Greatest Fighter: Vegeta Second Greatest: Son Goku In this saga, Son and Vegeta were both very good fighters. Although Goku’s power was greater, it put huge amounts of stress on his body, while Vegeta was just fine. Also, in the end Vegeta won the battle, and Gohan and Kuririn had to come and help. Namek Era Greatest Fighter: Freeza Second Greatest: Vegeta Without any doubt, Freeza was the best fighter in this Era. Vegeta would be the second best, since he did finally manage to defeat Zarbon. As for Son Goku, well he was still training and Vegeta would have been stronger than him. Ginyu Era Greatest Fighter: Freeza Second Greatest: Son Goku Freeza was once again the best, followed by Goku. Goku managed to easily defeat all of the Ginyu Force, and even after beating Jisu Vegeta was still not quite as good as Goku. Freeza Era Greatest Fighter: Son Goku Second Greatest: Freeza After turning Super Saiya-jin, Son had very little problem with Freeza. He defeated him, and Freeza couldn’t do anything about it :-). Trunks Era Greatest Fighter: Son Goku Second Greatest: Trunks (Future) One might say at first that Trunks was the best, but that was soon proved incorrect as Goku easily blocked Trunks’ attacks. Vegeta could have been second best, but he couldn’t turn SSj yet. Android Era Greatest Fighter: Android #16 Second Greatest: Android #17 The androids were much stronger than anyone, and android #17 could easily defeat any of the Z warriors. Cell hadn’t attacked yet, so he is excluded. Imperfect Cell Era Greatest Fighter: Vegeta Second Greatest: Trunks Vegeta and Trunks easily defeated Cell, in his second last form. Between the two, I’d say Vegeta was better since he realized the down points of brute force. Son Goku was once again still training and is excluded. Cell Games Greatest Fighter: Gohan Second Greatest: Perfect Cell In this Era, Gohan knew how to control his energy and was unstoppable. Perfect Cell followed closely, being stronger than Goku or Vegeta. |
