UPDATE

Today I bid on and won a 1 gb hard drive for the MP3 player. So with the size it will hold about 1000 minutes of music (16 2/3 hours) or 200 songs. It sounds cool. Now all I need is to start building the case. UPDATE:

Here are some pics I drew of the machine as I picture it in my mind.

Im still in need of a 1 - 2 gig IDE hard drive though. Anyone out there wanna help?

UPDATE:

OK OK I know. I havent updated in about 4 months but I almost have everything I need for the MP3 player. All I am missing is the case which I think I will build. I do not know know yet but will find out. The motherboard and processor work gret though.

Ok I am making an MP3 Player out of an old computer. Here are some of the specs about it. It is a AST Bravo P100 Case with a Pentium 90 Chip, 16 MB RAM, 1 GIG Hard Drive, DOS and a Flip down screen.

September 29 2001 - Today I am getting all of my stuff together. I have The Case, Processor, RAM, Hard Drive and Dos Program Files. I am trading someone over the internet a Floppy Disk Transporter, 128 K SRAM Cache, Floppy Drive Controller Ribbon, 5.25" Mounting Drive and a Serial Mouse for 1 full laptop and one laptop screen. Its a good deal because we both get something we need. My idea is on top of the Computer Case I will drill two small holes and screw or solder the metal sides of the laptop on top so that I can still flip it up. I am going to spraypaint the case black so it looks more like a stereo. I am going to try to find on the internet a Laptop screen controller card. I will use Laplink to transfer more music to the hard drive. It is only 1 Gigabyte which you might say is not enough to hold very much music. Well on my current computer I have 104 songs for a total of 424 MB. So I can hold about 200 - 225 Songs or 3:00 hours of music. So I think it is enough.
