Windows 98 or higherOk do we know of those pesky exploits were a file will get sent to someone and when they open it, it sends itself to everyone else? Well these virus's are like that. The most common one I have dealt with is a virus that when you first start talking to someone it will ask if you want to see (their) picture. If you put anything in that resembles yes (eg. y, ye, yes, sure etc.) it will automatically send to you. If you accept it then the same thing happend to all the people you talk to. So to get rid of this we do the following thing. The file is named: PIC1324(1)(1)(1)(1).exe Now what I think is why do people accept .exe files as pictures? Well Ill never know but this is how you get rid of it: Go Start -> Run and type "msconfig" (without the quotes) ![]() Now click Ok and there should be a pop up screen appear called System Configuration Utilitly. ![]() Now click the Start Up Tab and look for a file named: PIC1324(1)(1)(1)(1).exe or something similar. It will have a directory location of: C:\Program Files\Messanger\Recieved Files or C:\My Documents\Recieved Messanger Files. Once the file has been found uncheck the check box and restart your computer. Now when it starts up nothing to worry about. Hope this helps MSN users out there. Was this guide useful to you?
