At Home in Baja

Here's a few more scenes from around the campo. A little more scenery and just regular stuff. We got our 12 volt VCR back, so I took another 12 volt black and white TV down. We watched the original Ben Hur, with Ramon Novarro and Francis X. Bushman...the silent version. We also watched Independence Day, mostly because it was left over from the thieves. And of course Dracula. This kind of entertainment is superfluous at other times of the year when we're down in Baja, but at Christmas time the nights are long and rather cold, so it comes in handy. We all squeezed into our main trailer for dinner, `cause it was warm and cozy.

Fish Tacos down there are sure good. Eddie's frying some up

I took this panorama of the south campos. It's a good shot of Ed's camper and our complex.

The tides were high in the morning and evening, and low around mid-day. If you didn't get in before 1:00 PM, it was too low to easily drag the boats up on the beach, so we tended to get out early and come in around 1:00. That left some time in the afternoon to hang out and contemplate life. iThis sounds like a fish story to me.

One afternoon, Senor Osprey was out fishing. He perched on Loncho's shack, then allowed me to get pretty close before flying off. We saw him a short time later with a good size bass for lunch.

I forgot to take a picture of the whale bone I found and hung on the rafters...darn. I did get a good picture of my mascot, Snag.

Toothy little devil. Here's a photo of Isla San Luis at high tide.

And a panorama to the south.

And a panorama to the north.

That's the end of the photos. I guess you'll have to go back to :
