It's also the cheapest place in the region to fly into from abroad... City facts Bangkok today is a bit of a chaotic place, but it's known for great food, nightlife & friendly people. Even truckloads of foreigners visit or live here, it's still quiete easy to get off the beaten track in this huge metropolis of east meets west contrasts! Don Muang International airport(BKK) is situated some 13km north. Intl. Dep. Tax: 500B, taxi to downtown ~ 250B incl.
