Prints with the Letter "Cc"
Choose items for the children to use as
"stamps" for printing with paint. Cut fruits & vegies (carrots,
celery, corn cobs, cucumbers, ) in various shapes & sizes. Purchase
or make your own sponge shapes in the animals that begin with the letter
"Cc".
Recognizing the Letter "Cc"
Introduce the letter "C" to the children
by showing them the written word "cat" and helping them to see that it
begins with an "C". Cut a large cat shape out of paper and write
the letter "C" on it. Have the children tear or cut out magazine
pictures beginning with the letter "C" and then glue the pictures on the
cat shape.
Cat and Mouse Game
Turn a shoebox into a mouse house with a 3 inch cutout door.
Put large paper clips on 2 inch square letter cards, 10 C's and 10 other
letters. Turn shoebox upside down with cards inside. Attach
a strong magnet to the ends of two rulers. Have the children take
turns catching C's as the Cat. The player who catches the most
C's wins.
See the C's
Provide each child with a large letter C. Encourage them to create
a drawing that includes the letter C. Display the drawings with the
caption "Can you See the C?"
C Safari
Keep ten objects that begin with the letter C in a shoe box or other
type of container. Let the children explore the objects all week.
On Friday, hide the items, and ask the children to name them from memory.
Once they are all named, go on a C Safari to find them!

'Cos my toe is peeping through,
Push your thumb up through
left hand and wiggle.
Cobbler, Cobbler, mend my shoe.
Pound fists together again.
Verse 2
Cobbler, Cobbler, mend my shoe.
Pound fists together in
rhythm.
Get it done by half past two.
Let arms indicate half past
two on the clock.
Stitch it up and stitch it down,
Hands up, and hands down.
Then I'll give you half a crown.
Pretend to give away money.
