WYLANDS FISHERIES

What a place this is, top quality fishing on eight lakes many holding Carp.
My favourites are Middle Lake for getting your rod bent. Or Old and New specimen
Lakes holding good carp and loads of small carp just for you to get those rods bent.
The Kell on the other hand is not for the faint hearted, holding good carp, but can switch
on and off very quickly.
There is a burger bar, toilets (Ladies & Gents) there are lodge apartments, which can
be hired for weekly stays, or you can bivvy up on the bank. Also mobile homes and
caravans are welcome. Keith the owner is always there to make your stay a good one.
On the last two trips that I have made there with my mate Den he has had good catches
on two of the lakes (middle) 30 carp in a three-day stay and (old specimen) 45 carp.
Wylands is to be found just outside the town of Battle in East Sussex Give it a go!

WAVERNEY VALLEY LAKES

Penge Angling is perhaps better known for it's tackle shops and mail order business, but there is
also another side to it. Waverney Valley Lakes, is also part of Penge Angling.
With eight lakes on the complex makes it a wonderful fishing holiday. The lakes are 'A to G' then there is
Heartsmere the eighth of it's lakes. Plus now they have taken over Yew Tree Fishery which is adjacent to
Waverney takes the total of lakes to ten.
With big carp and now big catfish, this has to be one of the countries best day ticket waters.
Sixteen known thirty pound plus carp, dozens of upper twenties and hundreds of twenty pound carp gives
you the angler a good chance of perhaps a new pb.
There are also eighty five Cats mainly twenties but up to thirty pounds in the Yew tree lake and marsh lake.
Penge angling also have a tackle shop on site, where you can get all those goodies, plus hire a bait boat if you wish.
There is also a Café on site Toilets and wait for it Showers for both Ladies and Gents.
Caravan holidays are also on offer at this site so there is no need to bivvy up if you don't want too.
Day ticket prices From £8 per 12 hours ( discounts on weekly tickets)
All swims can be prebooked if you taking out a 48 hour ticket.
Check out their site on our links page, I have spent some time fishing there with friends and we
had good sport in a very relaxed way.
