Beer Review: Virginia Native Dark

This medium-bodied black and tan-styled beer, once known as Virginia Native Dark Horse in the 1980's, works well with seafood and the cajun spices of Old Town Alexandria's renowned Union St. Public House; indeed, Virginia Native is a local favorite as well. I found the beer to be similar in taste to other darker microbrewery beers in the area (for example, Sweetwater's dark seasonal lagers). The Virginia Native Gold is alleged to be an excellent beer as well. The dark horse's persistent aftertaste followed me throughout my meal, which both complimented the cuisine and left me begging for a second.
