Beer Review: Saranac Mocha Stout
Very dark, as one would expect of a stout, this specialty brew had a medium-to-thick body and a rich flavor. Smooth, but not too 'creamy', this beer was supposed to possess a 'crescendo of complex flavor notes', according to the label affixed to the bottle's neck. Well, I never really hit the advertised 'crescendo' -- no noticeable chocolate or coffee notes appeared, as I often expect in a stout, and the flavor notes were rather mild. Only a decent beer.
