Beer Review: Samuel Adams Old Fezziwig Ale
I had read of this holiday brew before I had ever laid eyes on it, and I ached with curiousity, desiring to try an ale "brewed with cinnamon, ginger, and orange." This beer was very dark, and it possessed a complex aroma to its medium-to-heavy body. The taste was less spicy than I'd have thought -- given such an aroma! There was no real bite and this was not a very hoppy beer at all. What it was, though, was a solid, darker, slightly heavier ale!
