Beer Review: SLO Extra Pale Ale
My second pre-dinner beer was this California-brewed pale ale, a silver medal winner at the 1997 World Beer Championships. Medium-to-lighter in both body and color, I enjoyed the nice, slight crispness I found at the end of each sip. Smooth, with just a slight 'bite' at the end (with the crispness), this beer also possessed slight notes of what could have been hops at the finish. There was almost a slight 'sourness' to this brew's taste, although this was not something that detracted from the overall flavor. A very nice, medium-to-lighter beer. -- Brewmeister G
