Beer Review: Oktoberfest (South Street Brewery)

Since the web page advertising the Cap City Oktoberfest had not listed the South Street Brewery as bringing an Oktoberfest beer, I was surprised to find one waiting for me at their booth. Remembering their most excellent J. P. Ale from this summer's Old Dominion Beer Fest, I eagerly dug out my second tasting ticket of the day and began my review. The brew had a more pronounced initial taste than Sweetwater's Oktoberfest Bier (my first review of the day). There were some slight sweet notes on the end of this beer (but no aftertaste or bite). A medium-to-lighter body and a medium color were noted on this okay-to-good beer. Given my earlier experience with this brewery, however, I was a little disappointed in this offering.
