Beer Review: Krombacher Pils
Krombacher, a beer I found at Shoppers Food Warehouse (and available at Total Wine for 3.99 a 6 pack!), is a classic German pils. Fairly sharp hops (as good pilseners should) of the German Hallertau variety, with a nice, light, malt balance and a very clean finish. Light-colored (or a blonde beer, as Germans will say) -- JUST the thing for a hot summer day. Made with Rheinland spring water. It's great we can get an authentic, fresh German pils at such a reasonable price. Comparable to Warsteiner, at nearly half the cost. -- The King
