Beer Review: Guinness Irish Stout

A distinctive head -- with a somewhat off-white color -- topped this classic beer as it was set before me late on this Saturday night. Smooth & with a firm flavor, this brew had a slightly bitter aftertaste to its not too heavy body. This dark beer was rich, though! And that head! It stuck around to the very end of the glass! Speaking of things that linger, the taste did, on my palate. This stout went quite well with the bacon & cheese potato skins and bowl of Bennigan's potato soup I was enjoying at the time (it complimented them nicely!). This was a great beer & ended up forming a great combo with these potato dishes! A must try! -- Brewmeister G
