Beer Review: Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale
First, let me just say that this is simply a great name for a beer. If you're not from the area, and if you haven't otherwise heard the (true) tale, the name refers to the Cuyahoga River which, due to heavy pollution at the time, actually caught on fire in 1969. I kid you not! And I kid you not when I say that this was a great second beer from Great Lakes. A hoppy aroma and medium color prefaced a medium body wherein lay a light-toned hops taste. Smooth, with neither fruit nor 'bite' to it, this nice light hoppiness could be found throughout the brew. A very nice medium-strength Pale. -- Brewmeister G
