Beer Review: Dixie Beer

Light in color, with a medium-to-light body, this beer was crisp, with a hint of something at the end (due, perhaps, to the Louisiana Cypresswood barrels that this beer is aged in). This aftertaste was not really unpleasant, just different. A decent lighter brew. -- Brewmeister G

The paramount "Southern" lager, the Budweiser of New Orleans if you will. It's smooth, but not too light, with just a hint of amber color. Dixie Lager almost has a tiny hint of a fruity taste that may be unnoticeable to some. I think it's an outstanding lager beer. I give this beer my highest honor in what I look for in a brewski - it's one you can drink all day long. I can personally attest to spending from about noon one day until the sun came up the next drinking nothing but Dixie Lager with no regrets. -- Biermeister Rudolph
