Beer Review: Arrogant Bastard Ale

Even though the bottle's painted-on label informed me I was "not worthy", I still went ahead and tried this dark brown beer. A hint of hops on the aroma did not fully prepare me for the hops I tasted in this brew. Yes, there were hops present, but they were different than, say, those flavoring Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Stronger? More complex? It was difficult for me to say, so I pressed on through the remainder of this strong (7.2 %) beer. A medium body and a slighty off-white head were present, as was something just a little different, lingering on the end (a little bitterness, perhaps?). In any case, this was an interesting beer. That aftertaste wasn't exactly a real 'grabber', though. -- Brewmeister G
