Salam to all muslims! I hope readers of this article can be open mind and except ayats of quran and hadiths of prophet(PBUH) about this topic. Many wahabis and other sects are trying to say that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is not a mercy of Allah for universe today he is finish.(astagfurAllah). Actually they insulte prophet (Pbuh) and Allah. But majority of people only follow, what a blind mulla say in his speech. They never ask him questions or show other ayats and ahadith on this issue. But I talked with a wahabi friend of me. I want to share our debate with you.

First question from my wahabi friend:

Asking help from others is shirk. You must always ask Allah for help . This is written in quran . Why do you say ya Ali or ya Rasool Allah madad?

Answer:

So you claim that asking for help to other than God is polytheism.  You should never go to doctor. because this is polytheism (shirk)! Their going to doctor is a type of seeking a help from a specialist. Even though they do not say by their tongue that they are getting help from the doctor.

Question:

no we say that asking help in normal life is not haram. But asking help in difficul situations is haram! All sunah muslims agree on this. Why are you making this new aqida?

Answer:

Your  aqida is not from 6666 ayats in quran. But against quran and sunnah. All muslims belive on wasila of prophet but not wahabis , deo bandis and some tablighi mullas and etc.

Quran say(Quran 28:15):

"And he (Moses) went into the city at a time when people (of the  city) were not watching, so he found therein two men fighting, one being of his freind and the other being his enemy, and the one who was of his friends creid  out to him for help against on who was his enemy.

Now we shall look at what sunnis belive about wasila.

Hazrat Abdul Haq Muhadith Delhwi (radi Allahu anhu) writes the following:

According to the Ijma of the Ulema, to use the Wasila of the Holy Prophet"(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) to gain assistance both with verbally or physically is said to be confirmed to be desirable." (Jazbul Quloob)

Question: But saudi kingdom do not allow any kind of shirk. Even kissing walls and etc in madina is not allowed too! Islam comes from saudia kingdom , why do not you follow saudia aqida?

Answer: we have our islam from quran and hadiths narreted from Ahlulbayt ( house of Muhammed pbuh) and not from any king or saudis. Who are pure and clean for all unclean ( sins and etc also). Saudia is with wahabis just because of politics. Now I will tell you a story of one of saudi king with a shia scholar. Sayyid Sharafuddin, a famous Shia scholar, went on pilgrimage to the House of Allah during the reign of King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud. He was one of those who were invited to the King's palace to celebrate the Eid of al- Adh'ha. When his turn came to shake the King's hand, he presented a leather bound Quran to the King. The King took the Quran and placed it on his forehead and then kissed it. Sayyid Sharafuddin said: "O' King! why do you kiss and glorify the cover which is made of a goat's skin?!" The king answered: "I meant to glorify the Holy Quran, not the goat's skin." Sayyid Sharafuddin said: "Well said O' King! We do the same when we kiss the window or the door of the Prophet's Chamber, we know that it is made of iron, and could not harm or render a benefit, but we mean what is behind the iron and wood, we mean to respect the Messenger of Allah in the same way as you meant with the Quran when you kissed its goat's skin cover." The audience was impressed by his speech and said: "You are right." The King was forced to allow the pilgrims to ask for blessings from the Prophet's relics, until the order was reversed by the successor of that, until the order was reversed by the successor of that King. The issue is not that they are afraid of people associating others with Allah, rather, it is a political issue based on antagonizing Muslims in order to consolidate their own power and authority over Muslims, and history is the witness to what they have done.

Question:

Why you say ya Ali madad when asking help from Ali and Muhamed (pbuh)? It  is wrong because they are dead. They cannot help you.

Answer:

Here is what you  are missing:

Think not of those who are martyred in the way of Allah as dead.
Nay! They are living, finding their sustenance in the presence of their
Lord." (Quran 3:169)
Imam Ali and all the martyrs are alive as Quran clearly testifies,
though they are not on the earth. So please do not treat them as
dead. You must think after orders of Allah when ali is martyred(shahid).

why you say that he is dead? Are you kafir of quran?

In fact all of our Imams except Imam Mahdi were martyred either by sword or by poison. Moreover, there are quite strong proofs in both Shia and Sunni that the Prophet himself was also poisoned by a Jew in the battle of Khaibar, and the poison slowly worked on his body till it finally killed. him. I just bring tradition from Sahih al-Bukhari:

Volume 7, Book 71, Number 669:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

When Khaibar was conquered, Allah's Apostle was presented with a poisoned (roasted) sheep.

Question: Yes I agree that’s all of 12 imams and prophet Muhammed was martyred and all of them are alive but they have a different life then us. They cannot effect us or this world at all they have no connections with . they cannot help us. Give me any delil for asking help from martyred people who have no connection with this world?

Answer:

Yes prophet and ahlulbayt are different but not finished. They are totally different then us when they were on earth too. Read quran at 33 surah at 33 ayat. They are pure and clean from all rijas ( unclean, bad , sins and etc) but our birth ( humans) is unclean. If you say no they do not have a different life then us, thast why they cannot help us, then you are wrong. Because if we look at history of islam and on quranic stories about other prophets you will see that things which had a connection with prophets had also miracles .

Quran 012.093

SHAKIR: Take this my shirt and cast it on my father's face, he will (again) be able to see, and come to me with all your families

A shirt does no have any life at all so how can this make prophet Yaqoob to be able to see. Why Joseph ( A.S) do not only pray to allah or give his father any medecine or things like that. And if Allah was helping Yaqoob A.S why Joseph is making that shirt as a wasila between Allah and Yaqoob A.S. When Allah does not like wasila and he has direct connection with us. No Allah dopes not want any direct connection with us. We are unclean people.

Prayers have are not humans and this is a act they have not life , but they can still help then why we cannot ask Prophet for help?

002.045

YUSUFALI: Nay, seek (Allah's) help with patient perseverance and prayer: It is indeed hard, except to those who bring a lowly spirit,-

112.002

YUSUFALI: Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

Question what do you think about Allah ?

Answer:

Allah is not a thing like me and you he is lord . the King of

we are unclean Humans he is pure and clean Exalted is Allah Whom heights of daring cannot approach and fineness of intelligence cannot find. He is such First that there is no extremity for Him so that He be contained within it, nor is there an end for Him where would cease.

Question You talk so much about about connection to Allah by prophets family but Allah does not allow it? And why you ask help from Ali when Allah and prophets is better then him?

Answer:

wasila a normal human who has knowledge from Allah is not haram. In quran we see a Prophet asking help from his follower. This ayat will also answer those who belive that prophet cannot ask help from Ali(a.s) because prophet(pbuh) is better then Ali (a.s). Ofcourse Ali is not more then Prophet of Muhamed (pbuh) Ali is a follower of Prophet Muhammed (pbuh). Now I want to show the quranic answer:

quran027.038

SHAKIR: He said: O chiefs! which of you can bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission?

027.039

SHAKIR: One audacious among the jinn said:

I will bring it to you before you rise up from your place; and most surely I am strong (and) trusty for it.

027.040

SHAKIR: One who had the knowledge of the Book said: I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye.

Then when he saw it settled beside him, he said: This is of the grace of my Lord that He may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful; and whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-sufficient, Honored.

If asking help by name to a human and making him wasila was shirk then prophet Suleman could never do that. When we say ya Ali madad it does not means that we think Ali is a god or some thing like that only Allah is god and he is one. Ali is a servent of Muahmmed and a creation of Allah. But we use him as a wasila to our Allah.

We have no direct connection with Allah . Allah is different then whole universe . no thing is like him. Praise be to Allah. He is such that senses cannot perceive Him, place cannot contain Him, eyes cannot see Him and veils cannot cover Him. He proves His eternity by the coming into existence of His creation, and (also) by originating His creation (He proves) His existence, and by their (mutual) similarity He proves that there is nothing similar to Him. He is true in His promise. He is too high to be unjust to His creatures. He stands by equity among His creation and practices justice over them in His commands. He provides evidence through the creation of things of His being from ever, through their marks of incapability of His power, and through their powerlessness against death of His eternity.

He is One, but not by counting. He is everlasting without, any limit. He is existent without any support. Minds admit of Him without (any activity of the) senses. Things which can be seen stand witness to Him without confronting Him. Imagination cannot encompass Him. He manifests Himself to the imagination with his help for the imagination, and refuses to be imagined by the  imagination. He has made imagination the arbiter (in this matter). He is not big in the sense that volume is vast and so His body is also big. Nor is He great in the sense that His limits should extend to the utmost and so His frame be extensive. But He is big in position and great in authority.

Question:

How can allow others to help us in others ( gods help) when he king alone ? Only Allah is god and he do not share his power:

Not only on this world we can never ask Allah with out connection (wasila) . every thing in universe has a wasila. That’s why quran say in surah baqra:

002.255

SHAKIR: Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.

When ever Muhammed (pbuh) and his family help us or do any action it is after permisson of Allah. Because they are totally guided by Allah. The quran say :

He does not speak out of [his own] desire. It is but a Revelation revealed. (Al- Quran: al-Najm, 53.3-4)

Another surah

002.255

SHAKIR: Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self- subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heave and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.

One more ayat

021.027
Command. They speak not before He speaks, and they act (in all things) by His

Question: Allah is every where then why donot he help us when we ask him with out wasila?Quran does not say that you cannot ask him with out wasila?

Answer:
The Holy Quran further supports intermediary for approaching toward
Allah where it states:

"O' you who believe! Be mindful (of your duties) to Allah, and seek the means of approaching toward Him." (Quran 5:35)

The following verse proves that one can seek a Wasila by approaching the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Allah Ta'ala states in the Holy quran

"And if when they do injustice unto their souls, then O Beloved! They should come to you and then beg forgiveness from Allah, and the Messenger should intercede for them, then surely, they would find Allah most Relenting, Merciful." (Part 5, Ruku 7)

The prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is not a mercy of Allah for a limited time . in quran Allah say:

021.107
YUSUFALI: We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.

SHAKIR: And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds.

There is no time limit he is still a mercy and same there is no ayats in quran which say that mercy of Allah ( Muhammed ) has changed his shape and he has not the same effect now. He has always been a mercy before this world to for all creations and always

Quran 005.055

SHAKIR: Only Allah is your Vali and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.

All muslims agree that only Imam Ali A.S has payed the poor-rate while he was praying. There is no other person who has done it and all muslims agree that this ayat is about imam Ali. Ali is our leader because he is also vali for like Muahmmed. No one is better then Ali and Ali has been our vali before this world too, he does not need a human body to have a life he is light . he was before adam too.  Because all of them are valis for all ways .

When Ali is vali our guardian , our friend, our leader and helper then why we cannot ask him help , why allah do not say in quran I made them your wali ( helpers/friends) from today and they were no thing before. No Quran do not take any time limit . they are always valsi then you cannot say no ali is no thing today ( astagfuralla) because then u become kafir of quran.

Question: I belive on every word of quran but I need ahadith from our sahih books of ahadiths because we understand quran from ahadith. Give me some refrencies of ahadiths please?

Aanswer:

The first reference is on this topic of Ibn Abbas (RA) to Imam Ali (AS). Please note that Ibn Abbas spoke the following words after the martyrdom of Imam Ali. Thus he did ask for intermediary of what you called a dead person

"When the death time of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA) approached, he said:O Allah! I seek to approach toward you by means of Wilayah (accepting the mastery) of Ali Ibn Abi Talib.'"
Sunni references:
1.        Fada'il al-Sahaba, by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, v2, p662, Tradition #1129

2.     Manaqib Ahmad

3.     al-Riyadh al-Nadhirah, by Muhibbuddin al-Tabari, v3, p167

Please note that Ibn Abbas died in 68/687 which was 28 years after the
martyrdom of Imam Ali (AS).
If resorting (Tawassul) to a dead was considered association (shirk), then Ibn Abbas would not dare to say so, and Ahmad Ibn Hanbal would not have recorded it.

As for resorting to alive, al-Bukhari reported that Umar used make Tawassul

to al-Abbas for rain:

Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith: 5.59

     Narrated Anas:

Whenever there was drought, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab used to ask Allah for rain through Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib, saying, "O Allah! We used to request our Prophet to ask You for rain, and You would give us. Now we request the uncle of our Prophet to ask You for rain, so give us rain." And they would be given rain."
Narrated Abu Juhaifa:

I came to the Prophet while he was inside a red leather tent, and I
saw Bilal taking the remaining water of the ablution of the Prophet,
and the people were taking of that water and rubbing it on their faces; and whoever could not get anything of it, would share the moisture of the hand of his companion (and then rub it on his face).

As we see, the great companions were honoring the drop of water which had
touched the Prophet (PBUH&HF).

Hazrat Imam ibn Jureer Tibri (radi Allahu anhu) writes that the Jews also made this Du'a: "O Allah! Send down that a Prophet who will make justice between us and the people and those people used to gain victory and help against the others through his mediation." (Tafseer ibn Jareer)

Hadrat Uthman bin Haniff (radi Allahu anhu) says that a blind man came to the court of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray for me that I may regain my sight." The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, "Go and perform ablution and read two Raka'ats of Nafil Salaah and read this Du'a: 'O Allah! Verily I ask of You and towards You I use the mediation of Nabi-e-Rahmat, Muhammad Mustapha (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). O Muhammad! Verily I turn through your Wasila to Your Creator for my needs so that my needs may be fulfilled. O Allah, accept the intercession of Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) for me". (Ibn Maja; Shifa Shareef) With regards to this Hadith Shareef about the blind man being asked to make Du’a with the Wasila of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), Hazrat Allama Abdul Ghani Delhwi (radi Allahu anhu) says, "It proves the permissibility of mediation and that of the Prophet's (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) intercession. This command is that during his life, but also after his demise." (Misbahus Zijaja Bar Hashia ibn Maja) Thus, one is allowed to seek the Wasila of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) even after his demise.

When Hazrat Adam (alaihis salaam) ate from the forbidden tree, he made Du'a to Allah Ta'ala through the mediation of the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) in this way: "O Allah! Forgive me with the Wasila of Muhammad Mustapha (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)." (Tibraani; Muwahibul Ladaniyah)

The Ambiya are Wasilas (mediators) for their Ummah in every form and the Wasila of the Ambiya is the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). Hence, the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is the Wasila of all mediations, even the Wasila for Hadrat Adam (alaihis salaam). (Tafseer Saadi)

Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (radi Allahu anha) says that the Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said, "O Allah! Grant Islam respect through Umar ibn Khatab." (Ibn Majah)

The Holy Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) said: "Abdaals will be in Syria. They are forty men. When one of them passes away, then Allah Ta'ala puts another in his place. Through their blessings it rains. Through them victory is gained over enemies and through their blessings punishment is moved away from the people of Syria." (Mishkaat; Ash'atul Lam'aat)

Hazrat Umar Farouk (radi Allahu anhu) sent troops towards Kasra and he made Hazrat Sa'ad bin Ka'ab Waqqas (radi Allahu anhu) the commander of the troop. Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (radi Allahu anhu) was the chief commanding officer. When they came close to the Dajla, there were no ships or boats to cross the river. Hazrat Khalid bin Walid (radi Allahu anhu) and Hadrat Sa'ad bin Ka'ab (radi Allahu anhu) went forward and spoke to the river, saying: "O River! You are flowing through the Command of Almighty Allah. Thus, we are giving you the Wasila of the justice of Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) and the Khalifa of Rasool (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), Hazrat Umar Farouk (radi Allahu anhu). Do not become a stoppage between us and our crossing." Suddenly, the river gave way. Then the troops crossed the river with their horses and camels. They reached the other side of the land in such a manner that their (horses and camels) hooves did not even get wet. (Ar Riyaadhun Nadhra)

In the above narrations one sees that the Sahaba-Ikraam used various forms of mediation as solutions to their problems.
