The Power Advantage DBZ RPG News Archives: November 2002
Updates/News
11/29/02 - Why do I get the feeling that my news posts are growing bigger, and less frequent? Anyway, I haven't checked Bandwidth in almost two weeks, but unless some drastic changes have been made(4x the normal hits?), that shouldn't be any problem. In any case, we're still waiting on Voon before more quests will be done, but the stats for the next wave have been made. I've replied the 4 or so forms that were trying to revive people, letting them known that there is nobody to revive. I've also been working on the new quest formulas, so I hope to have something running in the next month or so. It will be completely different, and probably much bigger.... But I think it will be better than what we have, now. I've been working on the Meat trainings (as most of you already know), and have been developing the elements and fields for it... I think they'll add a new wave of gameplay strategies, once they all get into play. I also have something you've all been waiting for....
An unsettling silence covered Earth in the early winter, before explosion rendered the air with horrific screams and moans of the dying and fleeing.
Only moments after it started, the Southern Capitol was silenced, as the cleanup began.
The news, later that day, had reports of a gas explosion, from an unknown cause. Several people were missing, and presumed incinerated in the blast radius.
However, nobody but Android 16 knew better...
Yes, we'll see how this proceeds, now won't we? Well, keep checking the site, and the forums, as well as training.

11/20/02 - Ug... Yes, I have been doing updates, although I haven't had the time to get to the main page. This Friday will be the last day for the Cosplay contest; prizes are likely to be 3000, 1750, and 800 credits for top 3, and 500 credits to all participants who actually participated to some degree, so send in those pictures! Myself and Android X will be the judges (the contest was his idea... and he gave me back the foot pedal in band class... :-/), and I have placed no biases on anything, yet. Our counter is working again, and I'm pleased to see it rising steadily, while our bandwith remains safely at around 600 Mb over the last 30 days. I was tempted to begin a Saga when everyone decided to go into space, but without the time, that cruel ploy wasn't fulfilled. However, in preparation for the UPCOMING SAGA(Yes, I knew this would grab many peoples' attentions), I have played a different, yet just as cruel trick upon you all. Since the consumtion of Senzu Beans has become quite widespread, Korin's supply was rushed, and he has now found out that some were not properly grown. These ones actually harm the consumer, instead of healing. However, the only way to know if your senzu beans are tainted is to either eat them, or test them for 550 credits. He has stopped the production of beans, for the time being, to ensure the next batch won't have this problem.
Now, I know Androids are kicking themselves in laughter, and I'll let them; I have no plans to taint battery charges, at the moment. However, take heed; questing might actually be a challenge!(Gasp!)
A note on questing: I have been making the stats, and questing people in waves. I am striking the Karthias/Jeice group quest off the list, since Jeice has not been seen online in quite some time, and that finishes the first wave up. The second wave still has Voon and Zero in it(And Zero will be questing for Orgun's, not Tidus' revival). I have yet to see Zero online in a while, but that isn't so bad. The problem lies upon Voon, whom I am incapable of questing, since he is in the far depths of space. So, the next wave will not commence until this wave is done, which means waiting for Voon to get back to Earth. If anyone has sent in a quest form, they are not permitted to leave for space until their quest is complete!
So, in summary... Cosplay Contest, upcoming SAGA, Quest rules and waves (I've been working on a new earth single quest program, as well as on the Namek Group Quest one... no clue when they'll be done, though)... Oh, I've added a Roleplaying section to the forum, so people can roleplay to their heart's contents (Following the rules stated therein). And, lastly, I've been working on the Meat Trainings, and have begun work on the Field Effects on the planet. I believe people will like it (Although there will always be those who complain that anything that has anything to do with elements equals pokemon...), so I want to have them done in the next week or so. Keep checking the site and forums!

11/08/02 - Updates are getting harder and harder to make, now-a-days, although they should be coming more frequently, due to the term cutoff for first reporting session being past, now.
Hits are looking good, as is the Bandwidth, and I have 5 accepted new member emails in my Inbox, I think the earliest dating back to November 2nd. Keep up the good work, new recruites, with the bio grammar and comprehension of the rules. There have been a few bans on the forum for use of fowl language, and they will be up for quite a while. The forum is viewable by everyone, so keep it clean! I have also added a Roleplaying board, so people can roleplay to their heart's desires (With the new security measures on EZBoard, there are now only 3 different popups that can occur, and only 1 ever does at a time, it seems.) I have also opened the Cosplay contest, and will keep it open for 2 weeks from today, or until I have 5 eligible entrants (If you don't even pose and take a picture, with no cosplay involved, it doesn't count!) I have a few at the moment, and am very pleased with them. I'm thinking of awarding a 2500 credit first-place prize for it... So, check the contests page, and try to enter for it. New trainings have been finished in prototypes, and should be added in the next week or so. I also plan on starting a new Saga or Tournament, soon, provided I can scrounge up enough time to do one. New questing formulas should also be coming around, once I get the time to make them. Two hours of sitting down and straight programming usually yields a workable formula, so I just need to find the motivation to get at it.... Well, keep up the training, and checking the forums and site!
