The Power Advantage DBZ RPG News Archives: November

Updates/News

11/29/01 - No real news from me, I just wanted to let everyone know that hasn't checked the forum that there has been a change in the Honour Match system. If both fighters are above 300K pl the 50K rule does not apply. Hopefully this will encourage you to honor match more, the fact that there has been one honour match since I have been on the staff is somewhat depressing. You guys complained when 18 was gone because you had no one to send your HMs to, and now that there is someone here to update you guys don't do them.

11/24/01 - Since Lander has been busy and hasn't updated the Limbo part, I decided to just update it myself. Everyone who was in Limbo(excluding Chibi Goten), is now on Earth(2A). I believe 2A was the battle square for the Rimoah Saga so that's why everyone has been moved there because Rimoah transported everyone to them. If that is the wrong square, please inform me. You can start questing for the Earth Dragonballs again, I made some changes to the final boss which will be more interesting, and probably harder. Namek has been destroyed obviously, but you could use the EDB's to bring the planet back. Someone start a post in the forum, what should we have next, a tournament or another saga?
-MCrashinNow

11/21/01 - Just wanted to say that from now on you can email all of your Honour matches to OmegaRed@kaazoo.com, I am going to do my best to update as muh as possible. I'd also like to thank those who gave me congrats for getting the job. ::Begins to realize this post is starting to sound like an acceptance speech and decides to end it::
- Android 17

11/20/01 - Small news. I contacted him, and I wish to congratulate Android 17 for becoming a new staff member. Updates will be done tomorrow, with new members (If you send me a GREAT form, but with something dumb like Good Saiyan, or Weapon Master Namek, your form is still deleted like anyone else's) and locations, so I hope to get that done quickly and smoothly. Also, saga stat gains this time were a little different, not 15 KI or 3 Skill, etc, as many people whined and complained. I can only put up with so much, and since you are a group which needs to work together, I will begin enforcing the 'team-work' thing a bit more in the time to come.

11/19/01 - Here's a little news from me... anyone who wants to borrow money or items from someone, has to send me, MCrashinNow, the email. A new addition I made to Dragonball Quests, many might not agree with this but this will prevent people from borrowing so much. If you have any credit debts or borrowed any items when you take the quest, the quest will get a bit harder. Why you ask I'm adding this, because borrowing a privilage, not a right. It should not be abused like it is. There has even been talk about eliminated borrowing at all but then that is too much but if it is abused too much, it might happen. When we do talk to our new staff member, the person will be named here on the news and his duties will start.
-MCrashinNow

11/19/01 - Only a couple points of news, since Crash didn't post them (I leave news for him to post from time to time, I really do!) The Saga stats have been updated, but if you never showed to the matches you were supposed to be at, expect no stat gains. Also, the new Staff Member for Honour Matches and Available Character updates has been chosen. Crash and myself will try to reach this person before we post a name, to ensure everything is good, and with luck, it'll be posted tonight; If not, tomorrow.

11/17/01 - Well, the Rimoah II Saga was done, and I must say that I am ashamed at the turnout; Reno, Zonecop Selphie, and Paikuhan. They faced off against Venga, Rimoah AND Tagazin. If you're wondering about the plotholes, save what happens to Rimoah, Goten or Frieza, you'll find them answered in the Saga, mostly. So, I will also have to congratulate Hitogoroshi on his prize-winning training story, and he merits 500 credits. Everyone will be back on Earth for Monday, with Saga stats and the like updated. Do not complain about being where you are, this week. Goten and Frieza's locations are still unknown. If you still have questions about these sagas, or the storylines, and HAVE READ the logs, feel free to ask. Things that are meant to remain unknown are as follows: Goten and Frieza's location/status. Rimoah/Necklace's location/status. Will Rimoah/Tagazin be back. Other than that, I think most of it is filled in. I hope to see the RPG back up in full-swing next week, as we'll be getting new maps for stuff, as well.
-LanderZ

11/15/01 - Our hits have been going down, but I updated new members today, and they should rise back to 46 per day, again, with luck. I am also re-confirming Saturday, 6:00PM PST for the Rimoah II Saga; If you're on Earth, show up and chances are you'll be in it. Also, the Tsu-Furin damage limit starts at 140,000 PL, when the formula allows it to reach 21 damage, max. Under that, it's 20 damage max. All Saga stat updates should be done after the Rimoah Saga, although it may take 2-3 days, so don't complain Sunday morning about them not being done.

11/11/01 -

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row on row
That mark our places in the sky
The lark still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below
We are the dead, short days ago we lived
Were alive, felt sun glow.
Loved and were loved
But now we lie in Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrels with the foe
To you from failing hands we throw the torch
Be yours to hold it high.
If ye' break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep
Though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

I would like to take a moment to honour all those who gave themselves for freedom, and give a moment of silence to those who didn't return home.

With that out of the way (No, I'm not trying to be rude), some small news. We had 66 individual hits yesterday, and with only 63 members, I think that's pretty good. Another note, the Rimoah II Saga cannot be next Friday. As stated before, I am starting Lifeguarding, and Sundays and Fridays are out of the question until January, or maybe late December. So, Saturday, 6:00PM PST will be Rimoah II. If you guys had other plans and say "Well, I wanted to go out with friends" I have to say tough luck; you guys had the chance last week to get something worked out, but didn't. Now, my schedule conflicts, as I had warned, and we have to make due with what we can.

11/10/01 - I know I said I would update again last night, but I was exhausted, and decided I'd keep you in suspense/rest!
Well, Frieza has been beaten, although the whereabouts of Chibi Goten are unknown (And no, he's not on/via Yardrat, either). Once we get the Rimoah Saga done, I'll fill in all the plot holes, and explain everything that happened. The logs are up, at present, as well, too. Many of you are wondering why you have cash changes or unknown locations, I assume. Everyone 'mysteriously' vanished from Namek not long after the SSJ was shown. As not to prevent you from training, you may spar eachother in your 'limbo', which you will 'escape' once the Rimoah II Saga ends. Also, everyone in the Frieza battle got 700 credits, even the dead guys, save Chibi Goten. SSJ stats are up in all their glory on his profile, so you can all gawk and see that he's hardly immortal, or the like. This is only HIS SSJ stats, however, and he can train in it to become stronger (Take note of how many spars and HMs you use SSJ in, Goten), and other SSJ people may not have the same stats. Other than that, read the logs to figure out as much of the plot as you can (If someone complains about the whereabouts of their ship, they get Warned, and Blocked!) So, keep training, and I hope to have the Rimoah Saga II next Friday at 6:00PM PST; Email me if you cannot make it, Paikuhan, Reno, Gokou, or Vegeta.
I would also like to publicly apologize to Squall, for he seems to have been the volunteered 'Field Tester' for many of the new moves and techniques. Squall, I am very sorry, and hope that this does not discourage you from continuing in the RPG. I would also like to scream at all those complaining about these changes, and about SSJ, but I am not a fan of caps lock, so I won't actually write it. It's become apparent, I feel, over the course of this RPG's history that nothing is left "broken" or too strong for very long; I either fix it, or boost other things up. Small changes are being made to Tsu-Furins as of now, with a damage limit; PL, divided by 10,000 (So, 250,000 to 25) multiplied by 1.5, rounded up: That is the damage limit you may inflict, if you are a Tsu-Furin. You may attack with the 3d100 or 100d100 or whatever stupid thing, but if you're PL is only 400,000, your max is 60 damage. I can't really think of any other news for now, so I hope to see the forum continue to be used (Maybe for more than complaining) and people checking the site, and training!

11/09/01 - Last update before the Frieza match, and it looks like everyone will be present (That'll be a first for this Saga...) Just pointing out the few minor changes/adjustments/restatements before the match. First, I'd like to note that Major Ego is a technique comparable to Double Slash; you cannot use another technique while Double Slashing, such as 1.5 Slash. So, Major Ego will double the base dmaage (And recoil) of one weapon, but you may not get extra bonuses from it such as Dual Smasher, 2dxx attacks (You will be compensated a starting 1.5x on your base; I.e. A 2d20 weapon will become 1d30, then doubled to 1d60.) Tri-Form is also being altered slightly, to have it be less "God-like" and more like the Manga. If a clone takes 50 HP in damage, healed away or not, it will reform into the main body, adding it's remaining HP/KI, etc. This should leave one clone remaining. You cannot Tri-Form again until all clones are re-formed; And if the second clone takes the 50 HP in damage as well, it's a forced re-formation, which takes a turn like the normal re-formation would. Healing Blast can be used once per turn, and not consecutive turns. I will be making a few other changes, as well, but not just yet, tonight. I will post here again, later.

11/08/01 - Well, our hits aren't looking great, but considering our reduced size, not terrible, either.
A few short notes on Sagas: Rimoah II was meant to be before Frieza, but because it isn't, the storyline will be slightly 'out-of-whack', but you'll catch on. Frieza battle tomorrow night, 6:00PM PST. Be there, or get kicked. Rimoah Saga will be the following week, too. No-one leaves Namek until Frieza Saga is done, and at which time you'll see what's happening. Also, the first Majin controlled person to break free got loose today, as Galaxia broke her master's hold on her, and that same master, Evangelion, bought Other-Worldly life, as well. I will update new members tomorrow, as I have the day off of school, as I do with Monday. There's been some problems up here; B.C. teachers are on strike, since the gouvernement is seriously depriving them cash. More to come on that, if you'd like, at a later date, and I hope to get most updates done tomorrow.
-LanderZ

11/07/01 - One quick note: Since neither Cloud nor Paikuhan can make it on their respective days, the Saga dates will be switching. Friday will be Frieza, Saturday will be Rimoah. I am also GREATLY displeased at the lack of responses in time! Tuesday morning I check my email, no complaints about dates and times, and I am happy that the Sagas will happen as planned, only to get emailed LATER, or not even emailed, just IM'ed, that people cannot make it. Your excuses are also bordering on pathetic; Paikuhan, your excuse is not 4 days short of being "3 minutes before the Saga, my parents tied me up and we took a trip." Cloud's is just as bad, being less than a week off of "My computer blew up 30 seconds before the match!" You guys didn't even contact me BEFORE Tuesday, like asked! So, the times will be same as before, but Frieza on Friday, Rimoah Saturday. If this still doesn't work, we'll keep Sunday at 3:00PM PST open. If none of these work to finish all three matches, then the RPG will shut down for a week; no purchases, spars, training, lending money, etc. A second note: You may figure "Hey, let's do it next Friday!" But I cannot! I paid 300 dollars to start my lifeguarding lessons, and they start next week Friday, and take up my entire Friday and Sunday, every week, for 5-6 weeks. So, if these Sagas don't happen by next week Saturday, I am shutting down this RPG, due to lack of interest; at least until I have more time to baby the majority of you through it. Stop your whining and complaining; the entire RPG will be shut down if you people don't GROW UP!!!
Correction: I cannot make it Sunday, with an SPCA function, so Monday will probably be free for most people; I doubt any functions will be happening at 6:00PM PST or 3:00PM PST.

11/04/01 - Our hits aren't doing so well, but I deleted inactive members today, most of them, at least, and we have 60 members in the RPG, now. Over 10 deleted people. Also, a note on the staff form; you'll be updating Available characters from time to time, helping with minor updates all over the site when asked, as well as doing HMs 2-3 times a week. So, the Rimoah II Saga match will be this Friday at 6:00 PM PST, and the Frieza Saga will be Saturday, either 3:00PM PST, or 6:00PM PST, depending on which more people can come to. It will be the 3:00PM one unless you guys email be before Tuesday! Keep checking the site and forums, and training constantly; the Spar limit should be updated soon enough.
NEW NOTE: Cloud, apparently, cannot make it to Saturday for Frieza, and since we need everyone present, it may be moved to Sunday. Cloud, Email me what time is available ASAP!!!!
-LanderZ

11/04/01 - Ok, people, here is the link to the Staff Application. Be HONEST when answering the questions and I'm sorry but only 1 person will be chosen. Before sending in your application, be prepared that being a staff member is actual work and may become tedius.
NOTE:I checked over the applications that came in like 5 minutes after I posted this and I have to say that so far this will be a very difficult decision for staff member. Anyone who still needs to send in their application, do so quickly. I had a mistake on the staff application, from the ones that everyone sent in, it was the exact same one as the old which was not my intent. Angelfire must've not saved correctly and I didn't notice it. Well the correct application is there, but people who already sent in their application will not have to resend.
-MCrashinNow

11/03/01 - Crashin here, and I will be handling everyone's honor matches temporarily. If you have some old hm's that haven't been updated by Android 18, you must still have the original email and send that to me. If you do not have the email, then I won't be able to update it. I won't update it just because you said you did the hm but it never got updated. Any new hm's, make sure you two are in the same square and in Power Level range. As soon as I make up a new Staff Application, the Staff position will be open for people to tryout for. Until then, continue to check the site every day!
-MCrashinNow

11/02/01 - Well, our hits are doing rather....poorly, in general. They're fluctating pretty badly, but are staying under 40 individuals...Bleh, I hope it goes up again, soon.
The Ginyu match just took place, and overall I'm quite pleased at it. We had 11 people present, so that's a reasonable number. No-one 'died' but several good things happened, like Mirai Trunks getting his body unshrunken, and Lenx suiciding in the match. Want to see how it happened? Check the log (82 KB of TEXT! My lord!) Also, Karthias was the first to fully solve the Namekian language, and gets it, and 400 credits. He can actually speak it without a translator, so he deserves it. Next week, we'll have the Rimoah battle probably on a Friday, and Saturday night will be Frieza. If you have problems with these plans, email me ASAP!!! I think that's the bulk of the main news, so have a nice night, everyone!
-LanderZ

11/01/01 - Our hits had hit 61 individuals 4-5 days back, but then dropped to 38, then 31. Ouch. I hope it goes back up!
A few small notes: we had a small Hellnight bash, and the present people, including Damien and Krillen, got a small prize of 100 credits for their efforts. Fun, eh? Secondly, the Rimoah battle will have to be moved, as some of the members aren't able to attend. Ginyu will still be tomorrow, even though Evangelion cannot make it. This one is mostly for the people coming back from King Kaio's, at any point in time, to specialize in their new techniques. 4:30 PM PST tomorrow night, and then Rimoah will have to be the following week, as will Frieza. I hope you enjoy tomorrow's twists and turns!
