Updates/News
05/30/02 - I hope you enjoyed yesterday's storyline. Not much in the way of 'hidden information' put into it, but it does give you guys some things to work with. I'm writing a new one, today, to follow about two hours after yesterday's:
Jair smiled to himself, from his private chambers inside the Attack Base on the southern part of Kanassa. Despite being wretchedly ugly creatures, they could certainly build things, when their minds were put to it.
With the recent addition of another slave from Earth, he felt slightly calmer about Miruuko still being free; with two hounds, the fox would be netted twice as quickly, with less chance of the hunter being hurt.
Looking out the window, seeing the sun going down, Jair figured that it was getting close to the time to attack the Earthlings who had come here. That should draw Miruuko out, if anything did.
***
Ifnor was growing restless behind the rocks, while waiting for the bandana-covered head to emerge from the ship. Squall has just awoken, and despite being sore, was up and stretching. Tien had returned, and was also watching nervously. The guard had yet to awaken, although it wasn't as though he could do much, anyway.
"We should go in after him," Ifnor exclaimed for what must have been the fiftieth time, but Squall simply shook his head, once again in charge.
"He hasn't given the signal, and it isn't sundown, yet." Squall stated, and Tien sighed. In less than an hour, they would attack the base and free Tobias, as he shouldn't still have been in the ship, unless he had been captured.

Jeice was just awakening from an afternoon nap under the makeshift tent left at the abandoned campsite; his feet and legs were hanging out of the undersized cloak overtop of him.
"So, you have found my makeshift camp, I see," a voice asked from behind Jeice, and he abruptly sat up, knocking his forhead against the top of the tent.
Turning around, Jeice saw a little creature, who appeared humanoid, although with very tanned skin, and entirely covered with a black cloak and robe. The man's smile was friendly, so Jeice decided that he must be eliminated.
"Well, I couldn't leave guests here on an empty stomach. Would you like to eat dinner with me?" The man asked Jeice, who decided the best course of action would be to eat all of the man's food, and kill him after that.
After a dinner of some unknown meat, roasted over a small campfire, Jeice decided to break the silence by asking a few questions.
"So, who are you? Why are you here? Why did you heal Android X?" Jeice let everything out at once.
After a pause, the man answered.
"Well, who I am and why I am here isn't really all that important. Would a wanderer need reasons for what he does? As for healing the Android, well, there is much more to be gained by the living than by the dead, for most of us. No point in throwing away a perfectly useful life, when we can prevent it, now is there?"
Although Jeice barely agreed, he nodded.
"As for you, young Alien... What takes you so far from your home planet? It has seen better days, the last I can recall, but it is still in much better shape than this dust-bowl," the man asked before Jeice could ask another question.
"What? You've been to my planet? I was told it had been destroyed!" Jeice blurted out.
"Well, whoever told you was wrong. Some of your people are reaching that time, but it's not over, yet. My people were able to help enough, I suppose."
After another silence, the man spoke up again.
"I have a favour to ask of you. It may be dangerous, but it must be done. I can't offer rewards, but-"
"I'll do it," Jeice interrupted, and the man smiled.
"Good. Very good."

Tobias waited in his room, the cul'dora bracelet sitting beside him on the bed, while the neckpiece was still around his own.
He tried to touch it, again, and began drawing small smount of KI to help probe it, but only the tiniest sliver could be pulled, and even that was nauseating.
He had learned a great deal about the device, even after only a few hours. The uril'har could sense his emotions through it, and since they were Kanassan, they could read his mind, as well. Once the bracelet was removed, he couldn't move it more than a few steps before falling to the ground with such intense cramps and pain that the Kanassan had to put it back on and consciously remove the pain before it left.
However, Tobias was still fighting. He hadn't mentioned anything about Squall and the others who were waiting for him, hoping that they would come, soon, and rescue him. He had been beaten to talk about the guard, and was punished severely for lying about having killed him and destroying the corpse. They hadn't yet found out where it was, but if they did, they would also find his friends. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep that secret.
Android 17 had already almost fallen in step with the Kanassan uril'har that manned his leash. They hadn't called him Android 17 since Tobias had been here, only referring to him as Juuey. He obeyed their commands, and kept his eyes down when not being spoken to. He beamed whenever they gave him a treat or a compliment, however.
Tobias watched as several Suncloaks rushed by his room, followed by 17 and his leash-holder, and Tobias called out, asking what was going on, and the familiar Kanassan who had used his leash enterred the room and explained that an attack was being made against the Earthlings, in hopes to either kill them, or have the glowing one come out of hiding so they could arrest him for his crimes. Tobias gasped, wondering if they meant his friends outside, only to feel the familiar chill down his back that announced the psychic powers of the Kanassan. He smiled, now knowing Tobias' well-guarded secret. Tobias cursed.
"I don't suggest using that language, or you will be punished." The uril'har said in a lecturing tone, before leaving the room.

The warriors at 1C had been resting, and waiting for the return of Squall and the others before doing anything else on the planet. Zut Halors had woken up, and described as much of the fight with 17 as he could remember - which wasn't much - and he sparred some more, hoping to be better prepared for the next time.
There was only a moment more warning, this time, however, as Suncloaks descended upon the warriors in an instant, appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Eva immediately took command, and began ordering the warriors to fall back and regroup to him, before they were overcome.
The warriors ran as hard as they could, with very few casualties; Mirai Trunks had failed his Super Saiya-Jin attempt and had been stunned, and left down, while Janemba had been able to knock one Suncloak out before being overcome. They regrouped with Evangelion, near Brolli's and Ifnor's ships, with only a few moments before the Suncloaks were behind them.
They were prepared to launch a counter-attack against the Suncloaks, when the ground before them exploded, and they looked up, seeing Android 17 and a Kanassan above them, the Android charging another energy blast.
This time, the blast almost came in slow motion, arcing down at the warriors before changing its arc to fly over the heads of the warriors, and straight at Ifnor's ship.
With a loud explosion, the ship exploded, and debris and pieces flew all over. The warriors gasped in amazement, before the Suncloaks advanced. They turned, and began assaulting the Suncloaks, and holding them back surprisingly well. None were killed, but many were knocked out and needed to be dragged back, and other still lost limbs to the blasts of energy flying at them. Android 17 had another huge blast attack the Earthlings, but Zut Halors absorbed it, saving the energy to use against the Suncloaks.
After a brutal, but short fight, the Suncloaks retreated, and Android 17 was nowhere to be found. The warriors quickly ran to check that their own injured were alright, and still there, and when everyone was accounted for, they sighed with relief.
Reno began salvaging what he could of the ship, muttering angrily to himself as he picked up the pieces, trying to find what was even worth saving. There wasn't much, but he would do his best to repair what he could.
Another fun story, no? A few points in it that you guys should be able to puzzle out, but there is still a great deal of mystery left on this planet. I will wait until the forum discussion reveals the answers I'm looking for before writing another.

05/29/02 - A new storyline is being put up, thanks to the efforts of Wolfwood to find some of the mysteries in the last. They are on the forum.
After getting ready for his spying mission, Tobias stands on the hill overlooking the base at 5A, and sighs.
He has a black bandana from a torn shirt over his hair, his gun in his belt, and his tail lying on the ground, thanks to a recent match with Ifnor.
Tien offers to scout around back, to prevent anyone from sneaking up on them, and Squall, Ifnor and Gokan agree. Tienshinhan runs from rock to rock, staying out of sight, as he heads to the far side of the hill.
After agreeing that Tobias needs an actual cloak to hide his body from sight, Squall stands up and walks around the rocks, intending to get a guard and his cloak for Tobias.
He barely makes it a half-dozen steps when a Tobias sees a flash of white light, and Squall hit the ground, stunned.
Ifnor is on his feet faster than Tobias could follow, and lunged at the Suncloak guard with the back of his sword, rendering him unconscious in an instant.
Tobias drags Squall back, behind the rocks, while Ifnor brings the guard, and gives Tobias the cloak. Ifnor then procedes to tie the guard up in his own clothing, and removes the stunned from his hand. Tobias takes it, and without trying to figure out the complicated gadget, puts it on his belt, to help with the appearance.
Tobias moves around the rocks with a sigh, figuring now is as good as ever to try enterring the base ship.
After working his way down the hill, towards the door, Tobias sees another Suncloak pass him, and eye him in askance. Tobias hurried by him without a word, and enterred into the base.
Tobias walks down a long hall, keeping his shoulders hunched and his cloak up, until he passed a lounge room that had a small gathering of Suncloaks talking over drinks.
Tobias enterred the room, and sat down, hoping to hear something of use from the Suncloaks.
However, there was little said, aside from a few conversations of the women waiting for them when they returned to Amadoria.
Tobias turned to see what else was going on, only to see a filthy corner that held no tables, but only a few stools, where two Kanassans were sitting. No-one was offering them any meals, but Tobias couldn't tell if they were glaring with their usual, fierce faces looking around.
One of them looked at Tobias, and he felt a chill go down his spine before the Kanassan turned his gaze to someone else.
Oh, no! He probably just read my mind! Tobias groaned in his head, and decided that the best course of action would be to approach the Kanassans.
Tobias walked over to the corner, and sat down on a dirty, wooden stool, when shouts from the other side of the room caught his attention.
"What are you doing, mingling with those inbreeds?" a voice yelled out, while others laughed and followed with their own insults, to both Tobias and the Kanassans.
Gritting his teeth, Tobias did his best to ignore them, but as he bent over to speak with the Kanassans, they stood up, and walked out the back door, which fell off its rusty hinges behind him.
Tobias watched him go, and decided that he wasn't going to learn anything, here. He stood up, and walked out the door he enterred by, and continued down the hall.
After glancing in a few more rooms, most empty, which didn't much surprose Tobias, considering the time of day, but one room held something that caught Tobias' attention.
He glimpsed in, and just barely caught a look at Android 17, sitting on a bed, not moving, with the white light of the cul'dora around his neck, the bracelet about a foot away from him, also on the bed.
Although no-one else was in the room, Tobias had no clue how to get his friend free of the leash, much less out of the ship, so he grimaced, and continued down the hall.
After passing a few more rooms, Tobias caught a look into another, seemingly empty room, which had an empty cul'dora lying on a desk.
Glancing up and down the hall, Tobias waited until no-one was looking, and darted into the room. He double checked that no-one else was in the room, and started towards the desk.
"If you had such an interest in the cul'dora, you could simply have asked, Earthling," a rasping, grim voice stated behind Tobias, making him jump and nearly yelp.
Tobias turned around, to see a Kanassan standing in the doorway.
"What do you mean?" Tobias asked quickly.
"The cul'dora are simple devices, in theory, although the links are very complicated," the Kanassan said, as he walked over the to desk, and picked it up to show Tobias.
"The bracelet is the primary link, controlling the y'niers, who is bound by the second ring."
Tobias, deeply fascinated, listened attentively.
"Here... let me show you." The Kanassan said quickly.
Tobias leaped back quickly, hiding his hands behind his back, only to have the Kanassan step forward nimbly, and place the white part of the ring around Tobias' neck. Tobias heard a small 'chink', and suddenly realized he could sense that the Kanassan was amused.
Getting angry, Tobias steped forward... only to feel an insane pain lashing at him, as though the very air was whipping him with a stunning force.
Tobias shrieked out, while the Kanassan glares and the unseen blows end, only to realize that there was someone at the door.
"Well, it seems as though we've captured another one of them." Jair smiled to himself.
Tobias stood up, and prepared to lunge at Jair, only to have Jair backhand him, knocking him down.
More unseen blows rained down on him, until all Tobias could do is try not to black out. No marks or blood were being left, though.
Tobias tried to summon KI to help him, but although he could sense it, he couldn't seem to manipulate it.
"The first rule as an y'niers is that you may never use energy without the permission of the leash-holder" The Kanassan lectured.
Tobias' mind began pondering some dark thoughts, but the Kanassan simply frowned, and the unseen blows returned.
Tobias grabbed for his gun, only to have his arm clench up and his muscles knot before he could grab it. Moving his hand away from the weapon seemed to help, a little.
"Well, so long as this doesn't postpone the attack..." Jair began, before the Kanassan spoke.
"There shall be no interruptions, Child Jair. That attack shall continue at the scheduled time."
Well, that was fun, now wasn't it? Tobias is now in the 'missing persons' group, and can only mingle with them. His original plan consisted of him using the gun to call for help, should he need any, but that didn't seem to happen, now did it? I should have the next storyline up, soon, but this information should still be helpful.

05/27/02 - A small band of people have gotten to 5A, and intend to spy on the Suncloaks, but won't be doing so until I receive a very detailed email with how they intend to go about doing whatever they wish to do. Another, perhaps less important point of news (Although I can almost guarantee that you will all find it much more valuable), is that Konats Trainings and Shops have been opened, and you can travel there, and back to Kanassa, to get the new stuff. It isn't too costly, but it has several requirements for purchase. The store is also not terribly done, with another ship upgrade and a new type of bean (Mostly for Propulsive Rage users). Also, I ask that you people try and figure out the location issue in the last storyline, soon. First one to figure it out gets 50 credits, if they can clearly explain it to me (2 entries per person, and deadline is tomorrow, midnight.) Well, keep checking the forums, and preparing for when these events 'heat-up' (If you guys ever figure out the subtle points of it...)
-LanderZ
05/24/02 - Small news, but still important. Bandwidth is doing great, and we're at around 750Mb for the month, so that's awesome. Bloopers contest is still open, so feel free to continue submissions for that. Also, Earth Quests are now open, but only to those people who have not successfully completed a Quest before, and who I feel have a good chance of succeeding (No Difficulty 4 Quests for someone with no Senzus, etc.) Also, if you have Quested before for other people, such as Ninja's Revival of Namek and Ifnor, and none for yourself, you may Quest for yourself. The Kanassa events are going well, but continue discussion about what you can figure out about the locations of the planet from the last storyline; I put a few hints in there that may help. Keep training and checking the forum!
-LanderZ
05/21/02 - Well, I suppose I've let you all stew for long enough; here is the new storyline! Let it be known that I applaud the efforts of Frieza, Jeice, and Mirai Trunks, in particular, for their deductive skills and effort put into figuring things out:
Gokan peered over the horizon, as he left his 2A location to head southwards. The sun was out, and the rocky terrain offered little challenge for him to cross.
After a long journey on the ground, Gokan was sweating from the Gravity and the sun, muttering under his breath about how the planet was too large for its own good.
He came to the base of a hill, before groaning at the steepness of it, and then began to trek upwards, only to realize that there was an easier way.
In a burst of golden flame, Gokan used his Super Saiya-Jin technique, and began running up the hill. After passing to nearly the top, he began walking, but retained his Super Saiya-Jin form, anyway.
Gokan slowly walked over the pinnacle of the hill, and looked down over the other side, only to gasp at what he saw. It was a ship.
The ship had an odd form, not one that Gokan had seen before, but he looked down on it, anyway, with a sense of awe.
***
Jair was walking out of the foyer of the base, performing his routine checks on select parts of the base, on yet another routine day. These Kanassans were dirty creatures, and would be removed from their ship immediately when they were done with them.
The routine shipment of test objects from the lab had arrived, bringing a few more of the strange cul'dora these Kanassans had built with the help of Suncloak technology.
A cry from the hall behind him, and the sight of the prisoner from Earth with its uril'har owner. Jair had assumed that the uril'har had better tamed the prisoner by now, after having been transferred from the main ship, but so long as it obeyed when it was needed...
Jair walked out of the ship and peered up a hill, only to see a figure... glowing! But this was familiar...
*"Jair, I expect the remainder of the ride to go smoothly, so stop worrying about the prisoners," the Lord Captain Donhald told Jair, while the ship was still in space and hustling to Kanassa with all available speed.
"Of course, my Lord Captain, but-" Jair didn't get a chance to finish, as something caught his attention on the moniter in front of him. A strange ship was flying at them... right at them!
"Evasive maneuvres!" Jair called out, but it was too late. The strange ship crunched into their underside, and a strange, golden figure flew into their ship, and Jair ran out of the main deck, down towards the prisoner's deck, for the second time that day.
Suddenly, a golden boy flew through the wall beside him, and knocked him over before he could even get his stunner out. The boy flew through the next wall, and was gone.*
"It's one of them" Jair mumbled to himself, eyes wide in panic.
"IT'S ONE OF THEM!" He screamed, and the uril'har ran beside him, his slave still on his leash but raising his arms towards the figure.
A huge ball of energy formed quickly in the Earthling's hands; his powers seemed to have grown since being brought under the cul'dora's control.
The figure had only a moment to peer in their direction, before the blast of energy - disgusting as it was, this energy was at least destructive enough to cleanse the filth normal, filthy, magics could not - and it was quickly followed by several smaller blasts, flying at the same spot.
"If that doesn't do it, throw some more!" Jair yelled, and the uril'har nodded, waiting for the smoke to clear.
***
Gokan had only a moment to see Android 17 with a strange white light around his neck before a huge ball of energy was upon him. Only his Super Saiya-Jin speed saved him from the blow, as he leaped back, and waited as more blows rained down where he had been only moments before.
"My God... That is way beyond 17's ability! I had better warn the others!" Gokan spoke to himself, but he had little time, as 17 flew by him. Gokan crouched, removing his aura, and hid in the smoking remains of the hill until he was sure 17 would not see him. Gokan figured running back wouldn't help; he couldn't outrun 17 when he was tired, so he crouched down, and ran to the other side of the hills.
***
Did they get him? Jair wondered, as he looked up at the smoky ruins of the hill's top.
"Forget that one! It's time to attack the others!" Jair yelled to the uril'har, and with only a few looks of protest, he extended the cul'dora and began floating, allowing the Earthling to fly and pull him along at the same time.
It was only a matter of time before they were all exterminated, now, Jair thought to himself, a small smile growing on his mouth.

The warriors at 1C were still pondering where to go, or what to do, while the sun beat down on them. It was blinding, how bright the sun could be on this planet when the atmosphere was clear.
Several people were arguing that they should head southwards, while others said 1A was a key location. A few others, such as Chibi Goten and Zut Halors, stood off to the side, not offering much input.
It was entirely without warning, though, when the attack came.
The group was sitting down at one moment, and at the next, dust was in the air, and the very area's temperate seemed to rise insanely, as many people were lifted off their feet, and into the air, before hurdling to the ground.
Everybody looked up, only to barely make out a pair of figures in the sun; Android 17 and a Kanassan.
"Hey, 17! What do you think you're doing?!" Squall yelled up, only to see another energy ball forming in his hands.
"MOVE IT!" Zut Halors screamed, as he flew upwards. The ball immediately expanded to a monstrous size, with power in it to rival Frieza's Death Ball.
"Zut, don't do it!" Android X screamed as Wolfwood hurried him away from the scene of the carnage, but the Android didn't acknowledge him.
Android 17 grimaced, but hurdled the huge ball of energy down at the warriors, but Zut Halors positioned himself in between it and them, and extended his arms forward, palms of his hands bare to the blast.
It collided with him, and as he began absorbing it, the energy levels in his body grew dangerously high. He began moving backwards, unable to fully control the blast.
"M-m... Move... out!" Zut Halors managed to yell in a stuttered voice, and several of the warriors gasped, but ran as hard as they could.
Zut Halors continued absorbing the blast, but just before he hit the ground, he removed the last of it, groaned, and sent up a Nazidranim Curse at the Android in the sky, attempting to rid himself of the overloading power before it destroyed him.
The Kanassan smiled, and Android 17 put up a Barrier to completely eradicate the attack, before lunging down, several smaller blasts flying at the Android.
The other warriors left before they could see anymore.
***
The warriors gathered on the very distant western corner of 1C, wondering what had happened. Android X was all but weeping, as he hadn't heard a word after Zut Halors began screaming through his radio.
They had posted a few people as scouts, to ensure Android 17 or Brolli didn't sneak up on them.
A figure began walking towards them, in the distance, before collapsing, and Wolfwood, amongst a few others, ran over to it, only to find Zut Halors on the ground, conscious, but barely functional.
"I guess I made it out... I'm glad I saved that last Barrier" Zut Halors mumbled, smiling at his victory over death.
Before anyone could ask him any questions, though, he passed out, and Wolfwood began healing him, only to find that the Android had lost too much energy, and would need to rest, whether or not he was healed.
"I guess we'll just have to ask him, later." Wolfwood shrugged, and had a few warriors help him lug the beaten up Android back to the makeshift camp.
A long one, wasn't it? I hope you enjoyed it, as you've done great work in puzzling out what has already been figured out. I hope this stimulates some things on the forum, as well.
-LanderZ
05/20/02 - Hits are doing good, if you are looking out for the Bandwidth; I am very proud that people have been viewing the site less, and we're doing really well on the Bandwidth. No new storyline today, and there will not be any until people figure things out with what they've already been given. That includes no more moves will be accepted (If it hasn't been updated by now, it is not counting) until people can come up with some clear, definitive answers to what have been going on. Discussions should happen on the Scardy Fishes post on the forum, so check that out and give your input as best as you can.
NEW NOTE: Reno, your email address is closed, or not working. Send me your new address immediately.
-LanderZ
05/17/02 - Yeah, another minor storyline for tonight. May as well, considering as last week's stuff was updated by Brolli.
Jeice, the red-skinned Alien, headed southwards, away from the other warriors on Kanassa, seeking... something, yet unsure of where to find it.
I need to find... something, and since it's not up there, it may as well be down here, Jeice pondered to himself, until he stumbled over something.
Before him was what seemed to be a camp, but empty and abandoned. A pitched cloak was blowing in the light wind, and some stones had been arranged into a circle which housed ashes in the middle.
Drat! No action! Well, at least it's something...
Although he hadn't found anything of great importance, Jeice decided to stick around, in case whoever had made this camp decided to return...
Not much, but it's not really meant to be much, anyway.
-LanderZ
05/17/02 - Well, the Bandwidth's been looking really nice, but we can still keep it down for a little while longer, just to be safe. Here's the next storyline chunk, as well, and guess who's in it?!
Android 18!!!
Err... Actually, it's not. You'll see:
Standing on the edge of a hill, Frieza looks down onto the Suncloak ship and main camp, as he has been for the past few weeks.
He knows the extent of their power, and he knows that if enough of them catch him off-guard, he will be unable to stop them. That's why he has remained hidden.
He's seen several things, as well, during his time spectating the ship and its activities. Some strange things. Several Kanassans seemed to be discussing things with the Suncloaks, and have been returning on almost a daily basis.
Just as strangely, a few Kanassans have arrived from the south with an escort of Suncloaks every few days, with the Suncloaks carrying a large black box every time, but they always carried it with extreme caution, as if items of the utmost importance lay within.
Just because I'm powerful enough to strike head-on doesn't mean I can't fight strategically, Frieza thinks to himself yet again, as if to remind rather than encourage.
However, something caught his eye, and he peered down for another look. A dozen or so Kanassans were walking into the main ship, with a large sack floating between their ranks.
They were inside for a few minutes, when suddenly a Suncloak ran out, to a building near the ship, and brought out a small carton which he ran back into the main ship with. Another few minutes passed.
Suddenly, a masculin scream of despair arose from inside the ship, and Frieza recognized the voice. It was Android 17.
"Well, it looks like those fools followed us, after all." Frieza chuckled. "And it looks like that met the welcoming party, as well. I wonder how Brolli's doing with them..."
His mind wandered, back to the ship ride to Kanassa, with the Saiyan.
*"What do you mean, you killed them?!" Brolli screamed in outrage, on his Capsule Corp Ship.
"I mean exactly that; I destroyed your planet, you filthy monkey." Frieza only smiled evilly as Brolli's face widened in shock.
Suddenly, an expression of rage took over the Saiyan's face, before golden flames burst out around him, and he transformed into Super Saiya-Jin.
Frieza gasped, and jumped back, barely avoiding a fist that would have KO'd him, and warily kept his distance from the Saiyan...*
"Well, that ape thinks he's so great with his new party trick. It's too bad for them all that I can beat them with my own." Frieza smiled cruelly.
Movement caught his eye, and Frieza looked down on the ship, only to see a rather odd sight, even for his experience.
Android 17 stepped out, with a Kanassan a few paces behind him. The fish-man was wearing strangely garbed clothes that had small stars sewn all through them. He also wore a bracelet that seemed to be made of a silver metal, but it had a white light extending off of it, and after a bit of slack, it looped around Android 17's neck, but didn't appear to be harming him.
"They have a stunner around his neck for amusement?" Frieza wondered, before hearing footsteps behind him.
He turned around, and leaped into the sky, using his Seimin no Jitsu on the approaching Suncloak, putting him to sleep, before landing, and running to another hill to watch from.
He intended to be the victor of this planet, and he could wait a little while to achieve that.
Of course, his patience was not infinite, but there are always better opportunities to strike...
Well, now Frieza's been revealed, but still he, Android 17, and Brolli are all in the 'unknown location' group, and they can only battle amongst themselves. I expect to see some discussion of this on the forum, and the next stuff to happen will probably be tomorrow, or Monday.
-LanderZ
05/13/02 - Here's the next big storyline; Don't check it too often (It shouldn't change), as to conserve Bandwidth:
After having landed and looking around a bit, Android 17 gets the urge to wander, and figure out what he can do on Kanassa.
"I may as well go off on my own; it's not as though I have any rivals, here. Or anywhere, for that matter," Android 17 mused as he wandered southwards.
Suddenly, he noticed a small group heading towards him. After confirming that they weren't Suncloaks, he waited, a smirk of anticipation on his face.
The five Kanassans stood before him, their evil-looking faces appearing serene, but they made no move to hinder 17.
"Here's an idea: You move, or I have a little fun with your corpses. How do you like that idea?" Android 17 said, feeling somewhat perturbed at their lack of action.
He realized that 3 more were behind him, at this point, but he still wasn't worried, as their Power Levels were radically lower than his own.
"I warned you!" Android 17 called out, before raising his arms, and forming a huge ball of energy between them. He began to charge it, somewhat slower than he would in a regular match, when the energy vanished without a trace!
"What the-" Android 17 exclaimed, growling as he tried to make another energy ball.
Only, it wouldn't work!
He couldn't seem to control energy; he couldn't create anything with energy!
"Why you-" Android 17 began, before feeling the air around him solidify, and realizing that he was unable to move any part of his body.
One of the Kanassans smirked at his attempts to struggle against this, but by moving the seemingly solid air with their minds, they doubled him over, and shoved him into a sack of unknown fabric.
This sack was tied up, and lifted into the air by an unseen force, before floating away with the Kanassans as they left, their goal accomplished.
The plot thickens, eh? Well, that will probably be the only storyline until Friday, and to keep things fair, I'm allowing 17 to still spar with Frieza and/or Brolli, and them with him (Since they are all of the 'unknown location' group). Also, don't view the site too often; we need to keep the Bandwidth as low as possible, as to allow for lots of views when these events thicken.

05/11/02 - Well, the site is back, but we are still in a crunch for Bandwidth. If we can keep 40 Mb and under for the next 3 weeks, with 20 Mb today, we can last until June 1st. I will probably make this shutdown thing a regularly scheduled plan, since it works infinetely better than Angelfire's Suspension program. Also, the new storyline will be up on Monday, so don't start checking the site like mad while waiting for it. The FAQ will be up, soon; Over 350 questions have been answered, and the final checking is being done. Also, don't check the Member pages unless you intend to spar; Checking them too often is a big problem. Other than that, keep Training, sending in Bloopers, and checking the forum.

05/07/02 - At this rate, the Bandwidth might be workable with, although we need a few days of low Bandwidth, still. As for new site stuff, we have Contributors, which is relatively useless to most of you so please don't view it (To conserve Bandwidth) and the FAQ is almost done. We also have a few new Bandwidth-conserving ideas, starting with the Map Page removing it's huge picture, offering the bottom link-finder, instead for directional assistance, deletion of many inactive members (Don't be surprised if you didn't Spar last week and are suddenly gone. Kashini, Ryouga, and Tyreal are all going to be deleted unless extreme activity is shown ASAP) and we also have pages for "Elite" Members. From now on, new members may not have Member pictures, until you reach 400,000 PL. Once you reach this point, you are removed from the main Member pages, and put onto 'Elite' pages, which should be smaller due to fewer people on them. Whenever emailing spars/purchases, if you are an 'Elite' member, you should put an "e" before the race (E-Aliens or E-TsuFurins) when emailing. The links to these pages are found under the Member Page buttons. Please don't view both the member and the elite-member pages, as you only need the one to see your stats, and we are trying to conserve Bandwidth. More storyline will be released soon, as well, but don't check madly for it; ask around, instead. I'd rather be asked if I've done the new Storyline than to have you check every hour. Please Bookmark the Forums, as well.

05/03/02 - Since so few people heeded the warning of bandwidth, I will give a second, before putting up the alternate site, again. All Kanassa events will be postponed, as will all moves on Kanassa, until the bandwidth goes down a bit. If things keep up as they have, today, that'll be about 18 days. So, if you want things to progress, please refrain from checking this site! Bookmark the forums and your member page, and only view the member pages when you direly need to!

05/02/02 - In an attempt to lower the bandwidth on the site, some measures are being taken. Please follow these to the best of your abilities:
1) News is in Oldnews, but the forums have more info than the news, as of now.
2) Tomorrow, Friday May 3rd, I would like to see a VERY low Bandwidth; Perhaps don't check the site tomorrow. If we can have 1 VERY low day, it can save us a lot of trouble in the long run.
3) Once again, don't view too many pages today or tomorrow, or else the site will shut down due to bandwidth overload!
A reminder, please ensure you do spar this week, if you wish to remain in the RPG.
