Overview

The "Full Vernian" is the space configuration of the Gundam GP01. Its new parts include extra propellant tanks, a remodeled core fighter, and a pair of articulated "universal boost pods" attached to its backpack. The Full Vernian conversion parts were produced along with the GP01 itself, but they aren't installed until after the wrecked Gundam is returned to Anaheim Electronics's Von Braun factory on November 2, UC 0083. After it's been repaired and the Full Vernian parts installed, the GP01 proves itself a superb space combat mobile suit.

The rebuilt and improved RX-78GP01-Fb Gundam Full Vernian "Zephyranthes" was rolled out and went through a rapid battery of test trials before being redeployed aboard the Federation assault carrier Albion in pursuit of the stolen Gundam GP02A. The Full Vernian GP01 was a tremendous improvement over its original form, almost doubled in acceleration and with a marked increase in maneuverability. It also featured an improved space-use version of its Core Fighter II, incorporating the mobile suit's large thruster- and vernier-laden backpack into its design.
