CHARACTERS
Goku
Goku is the main character of the game, you don't get to use him much but he is the strongest character who can go Kaoken and later super saijan. When his levels get higher, his power-level doesn't get as high as any other Z-Fighter. The only time his power gets higher is when he go's kaoken or super saijan which make's him the strongest character.
Gohan
Gohan is the second most important characters in the game. If he dies then is gameover, and when Goku die's then you control Gohan the most. Gohan can go ozzura if you buy the ozzura card or keep the ozzura card. Gohan has weak defence and his strength is fairly high and his power-level increase's a lot after he passes a level.
Vegeta
One of the strongest characters in the game, at the end of the game for a bonus he goes super saijan.
For a while you don't get to use him, and you have to fight him at the start of the game. As his Level gets higher then his power-level increase's a lot and strength gets good aswell. Vegeta has some of the best special moves and can usally kill a enemy in a blow.
Piccolo
At the start of the game, you get to control Piccolo for a while and he is one of the strongest characters. When he die's against Nappa, you don't control him into quite far into the game. His powerlevel increase's about the same as Goku into he merge's with Nail. His strength and health is very high and his special move is strong and is used to kill Radditz.

WALKTHROUGH
You'll start outside master roshis house, so go inside.
When your inside Roshis house, talk to everyone to get a 'Radar' off Bulma, Some gold off Roshi and a card off Krillan. When your ready, leave the house and fly North-West, and use the Radar to check where Gohan is.
