Harrisonburg High School Horticulture

contents;

1 Introduction: Welcome to the Harrisonburg High School Horticulture web page. Horticulture is basically anything to do with planting/growing, studying, and or cultivating plantlife. Our beautiful greenhouse allows us to safely grow our plants without having to worry about frost or bugs. We've been working hard all semester, planting seeds and pulling weeds. We've split the class up into groups and started on several projects. If you're local we hope you'll stop by sometime and see our projects. Don't miss our big end of the year plant sale and don't forget to visit our links before you go!

2 Projects: These are the projects that we have been working on throughout the year.

FRONT OF SCHOOL: This project group working on the front of the school will be planting assorted flowers and shrubs in front of the high school on either side of the stone planters.

PLANT SALE: The plant sale will start on may 6 and go through the 24,8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (weekdays only! If you are a local gardener you should check this out,because all the plants have been hand raised and individually taken care of. We know you're out there, so stop by.

BARREL PLANTING: Some of us have planted gorgeous flower barrels all around the outside of the school, check them out in the pictures section.The barrels wil be replanted this summer when the pansies fade.

RAISED GARDEN: Some of us have been working on a raised garden project to fill the empty space next to the armory. It will be filled vegetables and flowers.

HERB GARDEN: An herb garden will be planted in front of the greenhouse. It should be something worth looking at.

WEB PAGE: This web page is just another project that we are doing this year. It's got lot's of cool stuff on it so check it out before you go.

LATINO GARDEN: We have planted a latino garden in back of the greenhouse. It's full of beautiful flowers and is coming along very well.
