Page two of my Faerie Poetry Collection
Fall away, fall away
Into the arms of the sky
Let your feathered wings carry
You way up high
Never turn never glance
At the things left behind
Let the starlight be
Your only guide
Dark skies, dark eyes
Where the tears trail away
Fly fast, my child
Towards the new day
(c) August 02 starlesswinter
Catch your breath,
Eyes wide, the sound
Of tattered wings upon the air
A veil of whispers all around
That glitter brightly over there
Not a word
She watches, silent now
Counting her heart's beat
The little creatures on the ground
Dancing breathless at her feet
Do you believe in magick, my love?
(c) September 02 starlesswinter
Through my veins, it flows
Almost love in purity
And from these dreams
That whisper sweet
There lies the truth
For all to see
And if you listen
To the beat
Of a heart left alone
You might just hear the sigh
Of a voice
Which is your own
(c) February 2003 starlesswinter
Black are his wings
And amber his eyes
He watches you
From where he flies
Dark clouds churn
In the sky above
He dreams of you
In blood and love
Nothing but a whisper
Passing you by
Waiting for the second
He catches your eye

The Mother weeps upon the world
For all the pain She sees
For those lost and so alone
Hearts torn so easily
The roses are the drops of blood
Here scattered by the lake
The moon, a guilded mirror now
Fragile and set to break
And on the earth and in the sky
Unseen to common folk
The faeries work to heal the earth
And leave us threads of hope
(c) May 2004 starlesswinter
Hush now, my child, the lullaby ends
The moon and the stars are your dearest friends
The velvet of night, a cloak, soft and warm
To wrap you in dreams, safe until the morn
An angel to watch right over your bed
And faeries to play round your sleeping head
To bring bright blessings, and magical things
As here in your dream, the Goddess, she sings
Tales of sweet love, as clear as the dawn
To tame the night mares that ride on the storm
And your very soul, the fire that She tends
Hush now, my child, the lullaby ends

The old woman laughs
Knowledge is hers alone
Of the ways through this wood
Of the sky and the stones
There is magick within
Every hour of the day
There is shadow and light
For it is the true way
And should you seek her out
Be aware of her world
Be light in your tread
And repeat not a word

What is this that I see
On the frost covered ground
Can it be, can it be
Tiny footprints I've found
Shall I follow the way
That they lead from this place
Shall I dance far away
With a smile on my face
Is this now coming true
I have found destiny
And I ask now of you
Won't you please wait for me...
