Rules Of Conduct

Below you will find a list of basic rules that you must follow to maintain curtious, in game manners and etiquette. Please follow them.

In Game

1) ABSOLUTELY NO EXCESSIVE ALT/TABBING, INSTANT MESSAGING, AFK, OR OTHERWISE NOT PAYING ATTENTION (WHETHER IT'S YOUR TURN OR NOT) WILL BE TOLERATED!

2) No flooding the screen with messages while the storyteller is trying to scroll up to decide initiative orders and such.

3) The storyteller has the final say in ALL situations!

4) Keep OOC conversation to a minimum at all times and when you speak OOC it is required that you use (Paranthesis) when doing so.

5) If you have missed games for awhile, DO NOT barge in the game and demand that we stop what we're doing to tell you what's going on.

6) No OOC telling or whispering to someone what they should do in a given situation. If you want to help them and the situation allows for it,tell them in character.

7) Have your character sheet printed out as well as YOUR characters disciplines, merits and flaws from the 3rd edition/sabbat books and within reach while we're playing .

8) Be thinking about what you are going to do on your next turn while the other players are taking their turns. DO NOT wait until your turn to start thinking about it.

9) No excessive/unnecessary casting disciplines, using weapons, equiping or unequiping noisy or distracting armor, etc. out of character, as some cause lag and it is disruptive to the storyteller as well as the other players.

10) If you crash out of the game and do not plan on returning, please either contact the storyteller or one of the players via MSN or come back to the game long enough to let us know, so that we aren't waiting around.

11) Yes, we play very late, but if you involve yourself in a scene, please do your best to finish out the scene before you leave.

12) For those who always say, "I only have an hour or two to play", just don't bother playing, because there is no such thing as a "Quick Game" of Vampire.

13) We play pretty much every night and we realize that not everyone is able to do that, but please show up for the games as often as you can.

14) No special characters and/or tags on your characters name. This is because many time the storyteller or other players will need to whisper to you and it makes it hard to use the whisper command.

15) No 2nd guessing the storytellers descisions. This includes telling him/her what you think should or shouldn't happen in a given situation as well as arguing how your character reacts to a given situation. However, feel free to give the storyteller a headsup if he/she forgets to do something or makes a legitimate mistake.

16) Feel free to ask questions of importance about your character, systems or situations, but please try and figure out the answer for yourself first.

17) No rushing the storyteller in any situation. Those of you who know enough to realize the undaunting tasks and responsabilties of the storyteller know why. Those of you who don't, stop for a moment and think about it.

In General

1) Yes, sometimes we start our games late, but our set game time is 10:00 PM (est). 1:00 AM (est) is the cutoff time. This means that at 1:00 AM you will not be permitted to join the game if it is already in session and you have not shown up. (Some exceptions apply)

2) It is required that EVERY member joins the newsgroup/forum, so they can keep up on our goings on, post messages and receive group email as well as download the necessary files.

3) It is important that all members have MSN Instant Messenger so they are able to stay in touch with the other players as well as the storytellers.

4) Do not give out our room password to ANYONE until they have filled out a character sheet and returned it to their storyteller.
