it's been some time... um.. hey to providence kids, sorry i haven't been around. saw 'the furies' at the cantab in cambridge, they kicked ass, support local poetry teams, go see them when you can. got bernard dolan's release of 'the failure', a 2 hour radio play consisting of poetry and weird ass shit... 2 cds, i recommend everyone buy it from him.. i expect to be dropping by spün soon, spring break is in the air and around the corner.. mmmmm spring...
as for the rest i've been going about things as per usual, and 'snapshots of samsara' is the tentative title for something that should be done soon..I hope...

it's been a long time since the site has had an update, and it's coming soon i swear, just as soon as i pull some old files off of an old hard drive and get my act together.
So what's news? For starters, i'm moving in less than three weeks. So long to Providence & its people, places, and past tense friends and hello new home: Boston. The world awaits before me even as i leave it behind. Right now i'm just stuck between the two.
More to the point: The Perils of Examining Old Photographs has been back burnered for quite some time, and a different work is near completion... this one's a more exclusive thing and will be only given to a few people, a sort of nostalgia thing on my part.. talk to me if you want a copy and didn't get one i'll see what i can do... expect the book in a week or two.
this site is split into two sections; poems and prose works
currently a few poems are displayed here, and hopefully these will keep your interest until i have the time to finish this. which might be never.
the poetry section is a preview of things to come when i can get myself to work... right now there are six selections from the book posted, with more to come, if all goes well... in the meanwhile visit www.openthemics.com and check out the West, Tollgate, SK, and LSA poets.
keep a look out for 'project', a book written by Trevor, Joe, Chris, and myself. Lasalle had talk of publishing it for us, and they currently still have the only copy in existence, so any of you LSA kids hear anything about it, let us know. we'd like to know what they're doing with our work...
the original works displayed here are the property of the author, copyright 1999-2002 Mike Day
