Everyone is always trying so hard to fit in, to be accepted; if only they exerted that same amount of effort into being themselves, life wouldn't be so tedious and dull. Everyday, everywhere we'd go, we'd have the opportunity not to run into a new face, but to run into a new person - a person with a different perspective on the world than the person who preceeded him/her. We'd gain new insight rather than merely regurgetating what has already been expressed. Our unique qualities are treasures, not burdens. We should not fear them nor ignore them.
