Hallowing

Hallowing is the only way a were can create another were, without using the ritual. This normally happens when a were somehow comes near a sleeping human, and the were’s spirit, is able to pull the name of the other spirit to them. Once this happens, the two do not have to join, but if they do not, they feel incomplete, distant. Hallowing can, on occasion, be forced. In order for this to happen, both parties must sit, and do nothing but concentrate on their animal spirits, and on very rare occasions, the hallow is forced and one spirit accepts the other's name.
Two other ways weres can reproduce is by sexual intercourse, and The Ritual. The Ritual (as described in history ) will turn the human into a were of their animal spirit, no matter what the were helping them is.
Sexual intercourse does NOT produce weres, but normal human, no matter if both parents are weres. This can only happen during the days of the full moons, the only time that the weres are fertile. The rest of the year they are completely sterile.
Cubs who are born to hallowing, will not transform until the first full moon of their puberty. There were type is decided during the hallowing, but it is not know to any until the first transformation.
Humans turned weres during the ritual will transform during the first full moon following.
