About RetroMUD

Well here is my page of information about retromud. RetroMUD is a paisley space ship that flies around the moon and kidnaps household pets and farm animals for twisted experiments to determine exactly HOW they get the filling in the twinkies.

Wait thats the wrong RetroMUD. The RetroMUD i'm talking about here is a Multi User Dungeon, an online game using only 2 things: text and imagination. Since there are no pictures on RetroMUD, a lot is left to the imagination, which is probably the main attraction to all the geeks that play it. There are literally hundreds, probably thousands, of MUDs out there right now. However the only one you need to play is RetroMUD. With over 60 races to choose from, such as the Treant race (giant trees that kick ass). To the unicorn race, which looks and sounds cool but is really nothing but trouble. There are also nearly 30 primary guilds to choose from, and many more secondary and tertiary guilds. Primary guilds include simple themes such as the brutish combat based fighter, to the complex and highly challenging templar guild. There is also a wide variety of equipment for players to obsess and bicker over, from highly powered weapons and armor, to barely sufficient newbie equipment for the lowly scum that plagues the lower 15 experience levels of our fair MUD. There are also events every day designed to challenge, stimulate, and annoy the hell out of players. There is the Hordes of Hell, Avenging Angels, and Knights of Balance events just to name a few. During these events monsters show up to harass and kill players of the opposing alignment, or any other alignment if they feel bored. This event usually seems to serve no purpose but to clear out the MUD of all players above level 15, because players under that level are still newbies and must be treated like the whimpering buffoons that we all are. Players can also own their own castle, customizing it to their own tastes. They must pay merchants in the game to repair the castle on a regular basis, but are able to keep their equipment for longer periods of time. There is also an event which targets those players that own castles, Thieves break into castles and steal things, sometimes very valuable things, its a very annoying event. The game is run and maintained by a group of entities such as Talien, Rayzam, Jobe, Faeryll, Smoov, Wujen (who hasn't been fully assimilated yet). Unbeknownst to most players these names are merely highly sophisticated code for government supercomputers which are actually being used to run an experiment on the geeks of the world, with goals mere mortals can only begin to imagine! FLEEEEE FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES!!! THIS MIGHT BE YO---
