Jade's Story

Outfit: Her outfit used to be gowns for she was a Queen and therefore had to look it. But when she left that status she took to black. She wears black silk pants and sleeveless top and around her shoulders is a black cloak and her feet are covered with black boots. Although when the ocassion calls for formality she would dress up in a gown and act a perfect lady.

Weapons: Jade created a set of fans. The ends of the fans are sharp and she created the fans to contain the element of fire. Since she created the fire the flames are oddly a marron color. However, the flames work without magic in case she can't use it. She also has a green orb the size of a marble hidden on herself. The orb's elements contain holy energy but she only uses it for life or death situations for the holy energy harms her as well.

Arcane abilities: The star on Jade's forhead possesses the ability to absorb any energy around her. It is a sort of last defense when she is close to death. It also helps her control her dark magic. The star also gives her command of the demons and creatures of the underworld. And especially shadows. Jade's main ability is the use of the shadows. She can summon shadows and demons to her will. Also she can absorb magic into herself and redirect it where she pleases with the aid of a ring given to her by a teacher. The ring is purple and gives its bearer the energy it absorbs .

Jade's History: Jade was born into a noble family that was prosperous. Her mother was a kind and gentle woman but her father was the direct opposite. He was strict in every way to Jade with the thought that by doing so she would prosper as well. Five years passed and Jade was 18 years old and soon to be married to someone she had never seen.

During that year a war broke out over the lands. Other families had become jealous of the Delair's estate. The Count DeLair(Jade's father) protected the castle well enough and stayed out of harms way. One of best Knights was ordered to protect Jade in case the enemies came into the castle walls. Sir Vaughn did want to join the fight but Jade's safety was important to him. He enjoyed her company as well.

Another knight, who was young and foolish, made a bargain with one of the opposing families. He thought that this would garantee his safety if the war was lost. An assasin had entered the castle walls with the aid of the young knight. The plan was to weaken the DeLairs so they could attack, they had planed to take out the family's only heir, Jade.

Jade was outside when the knight approached them and told Vaughn that the Count needed him. Vaughn went off to the mansion to look for the Baron. Then the assasin went up to Jade and grabbed her arm and threw her off balance and prepared to shoot with the cross bow he held. Jade then called out for Vaughn and Vaughn heard her cries. It was then that he realized that the Count hadn't sent for him. He ran back to Jade who struggled with the intruder. Vaughn knocked the assasin down and Jade was released. Vaughn began to fight and the assasin knew that his prey would get away and he fired the cross bow. Jade ducked and the young knight was hit. He fired again and this time Vaughn was in the way. Vaughn was hit and Jade ran to help him but the assasin had gotten up and was coming towrds her. She ran and went throught the streets and past the boundary of the castle. When she was in the middle of a forest she became lost. She decided not to go back to her home. It was her fault that her family had been atacked like that, she thought.

Jade began to wander the land and had overheard a conversation of what had happened to her family. Her father was in his deathbed and would soon die and her mother had caught a terrible disease for which there was no cure after Jade left and passed away. It was then that she knew she could never go back.

One night she teamed up with a thief and was caught stealing. She was sold as a slave to a rich owner who did not recognize her.

Jade tried to escape her master but was found the next morning. Her punishment was that she was to be locked up for 2 days with nothing to eat. As soon as Jade was out she tried to escape again. She was caught and this time her punishment was to be flogged. During one of the lashings Jade passed out and her master decided to sell her because she tried in every way to defy him.

Her new master was a wizard who wore the black robes. He was impressive and he never raised his hand to Jade even though she tried to escape many times. She soon became the wizard's apprentice. His name was Kave. He taught Jade many things and she excelled extremely well in the art. Each night Kave would go into her room and trace a star on her forehead.

As one year passed Jade noticed that she had remained the same. Her hair was the same and her body hadn't grown any. The star on her forehead was also begining to apprear. She asked Kave about the star and the reason she hadn't changed. He told her of his plans to use her to take out the Dark King, the current ruler of darkness, with the black magic he taught Jade. She refused to help and Kave became angry. That night Kave called upon the Dark King.

The Dark King arose from the ground. His face was stern and expression cold. He approached Jade and brushed her hair aside and glared at the star.

What is this? He asked. And Kave said that she was to fight the King. The king laughed at this. At that moment Kave told Jade to fight him. Her reply was, I already told you I would not fight him and I won't.

Kave then threw a spell at her but Jade counteracted it easily. The King sat back and watched the fight and did nothing else. Kave and Jade fought for some time. Jade, though, was grow running out of spells. She became hit with a spell that caused her to become paralyzed. She lay on the ground unmoving and deenseless. As Kave was casting the spell that would end her life the star on her forehead gave off a bright light and destroyed Kave.

Then the King walked over to Jade and kneeled down. He said, Kave is gone. You are no longer a slave and are free to do as you wish. But the star you have will remain and so shall your talents. Kave had many allies that you don't know of and they will seek to destroy you and steal what you have. I suggest you hide from them, you don't have what it takes to survive their fury.

Jade nodded and the King disappeared and she didn't see him again. Her defiant nature kept her from hiding her star and she continued to use her magic.

Jade began wandering like she had before and came upon a man lying beside the road. She went to aid him and saw that it was Vaughn. He was wounded badly and wouldn't live. He held a sword with a bronze dragon's face on it. He gave her the sword and told her of it's name, which was Agony, and about assasins who hunted him for it. After taking the sword Vaughn died and the assasins came. They attacked Jade and she used the sword even though she didn't know how to weild it. Jade then hid the sword in a tomb and never used it. Only she knew it's location and when she found one able to use it will she release her guardianship over the sword.

After time went on Jade found a vampire who embraced her and made her a creature of the night. She hates him and curses for leaving her right after she was made to survive on her own.

Jade then delved into her magic and abilities and discovered the use of shadows. The black star she carried helped her in controling them. She explored the world of shadows and there found a powerful demon. The demon challanged her strength and the two began to fight. Jade found that the shadows raised her strength and after a long battle the demon appraised her and merged with her. The demon wanted passage into the world of men and Jade wanted power so the two worked as one.
