Final Fantasy X-
The game is a great game to kick off PS2's second year. The story is the
usual exelence Squaresoft achives, although it is quite straight forward it is better then so many
twists and turns we all need cliff notes. The battles are easier but only if you use the
correct charecter for a certain enemy. The ATB system was scrapped returning to turn based
system but you can view whos going to take the next turn about 30 moves into the battle. Oh
and the bosses are more powerful. Voice acting is pretty mediocre exept for Yuna who must get
voice lessons from William Shatner himself. Problems with this game are few and small such as
lipsinking is sometimes off. Another problem is Blitzballs significance, sure it is fun and you
can get useful items but I never saw the point of why Wakka learns his overdrives from playing
Blitzball. Charecter leveling is now used by a sphere grid, which is basically a deeper version
of Final Fantasy 7s materia system in the sense that you placed a certain sphere in a certian
place you will learn a certain ability.
In conclusion I give this game a 9.3 score.
