Altara is the country of which Ebou Dari is the main city. Ebou Dari is situated on the delta of the Eldar River. Most of the land is swampy, low-lying, and covered with canals, bridges and a few roads. Because of the closeness to water as well as heat there is always a high humidity. Although the Queen rules the city, she has little say over the outlying lands which are more midlander than Ebou Dari in their traditions.
Ebou Dari Society
Ebou Dari are easy going people with an elaborate code of conduct, however they settle all disputes through duels. This can make it difficult for outsiders, since anyone can challenge anyone else to a duel. These duels are legally sanctioned, and take place on special dueling grounds except when the combatants chose to settle the difference immediately.
