Welcome to my Ford 2.3 Turbo page. I had been looking for a Turboford donner car for about 3 months when a buddy came accross my merk. I had always been a big fan of them, as I love rally, so here's her story. This is my 1987 Merkur XR4TI that I bought for $700 Canadian ($530 American) and all it needed was a new radiator and the valve stems in the tires fixed and it was good to go. Unfortunately, with the high Kilometers it had on it, and the fact that I increased the boost to 15# from the stock without intercooling it, caused me to blow my crankshaft bearings. Initially I was just going to get her going so I had it to drive again, but ive decided to sacrifice having a car in the greater good of performance. It will be fast, oh yes it will be fast. Being in college and trying to build a car with no money is not fun, and thats why their may be big periods of time between updates and modifications.
