Wings Over France by Lambourne Games printed in 1991 with a revised edition released in 1999, allows you to fight the "Bloody April" Campaign in the air during 1917. The game has great potential to add additional aircraft, extend the time line, add variant rules and allows for adding role playing to excellent wargame.
Wings of War by Fantasy Flight Games printed in 2004 has three sets out to include Famous Aces,Watch Your Back, and Burning Drachens. Each game highlights five aircraft types with numerous detailed cards for each illustrating famous aces and squadrons. Play is on a tactical level through the use of maneuver and fire cards that recreate the fog of war and simultaneous movement without written movement plots or a referee. Engagement size is limited only by play area and card availability.
Down in Flames is a World War I card game simulating dogfights from 1916-18 released in 2005. Aircraft are rated for performance, horsepower, and ability to take damage. The planes also have special traits to emphasize good maneuverability, effective firepower, and hazards from performaning certain maneuvers to name a few.
