Designer Notes: I also still have my notes of my play-testing, initially with a Flight of Nieuport 17s, and unfortunately this made the game too easy, the 10-15% better perforamnce of the 17 over the 11 being enough to unblance the game with the existing system for handling EA. I messed around with a more complex EA system but really wanted that part of the game to be as simple as possible, so eventually decided to assume that the unfortunate 23 Squadron had not been re-equipped with the Nieuport 17, thus bringing the game back into balance. Little did I relaise that the likes of you were lurking out there to shoot me down ! Perhaps I should have mentioned that in the Rules but I've 'got away with it' for several years so I've done OK !
