Sound and Fury

Sound and Fury was to begin in but a few minutes so we made our way to the Odeon Stage. As we pass the site of the King's Feast, Master James suggested that we attend it one year. Sometime ago, Captain Gareth made the same suggestion. I would not mind trying it once. We receive a ticket, meal, entertainment and souvenir stein for 80 gold pieces. Tickets cost 21 gold pieces this year and the steins are 25 gold pieces so about half the money is for the feast. Another year, suggested the Lady Fae especially since we already had tickets for this year. Sir Brian and Lady Fae Cynthia browsed through a kiosk selling fairie wings. Last year, the Lady Fae came as a fairie but, the wings refused to stay on her back. She hoped to find a better pair of wings.

We caught Sound and Fury's act last year, and they were hilarious. The trio of actors perform crude interpretations of Shakespeare classics.  This show was Romeo and Juliet. They warn up front that their show is rated PG-13. "If your kids don't know about the birds and the bees, they will after this show."

The Grand Marche Parade

After the show, we watched the parade which had already begun.

The merchants of New Market eagerly hawk their wares during the parade.

This "good" woman sports chainmail whip. She tells me that I might purchase it at the Chainmail Fashions.

  Egad! the front gate photographers.

  Let there be cat maidens...

   elven princesses...
  And beautiful faeries...
