Tis the 27th day of
October of the year 2001. Our numbers are few. Tis perhaps since we had
travelled to the faire but a couple weeks earlier. Sir Brian and Lady
Fae Cynthia had not partaken in this year's harvest festival. Lady Fae
Cynthia arrived as in her faerie form and attracted the attention of
many. When we break for lunch, someone hast the nerve to ask the Lady
Fae for a kiss. He bears a wooden token that awards him a free
kiss from a willing participant. She flatly refuses him.
Twas the first time that I laid eyes on Sir Richard's new pet dragon
Spot. The creature is adored by the children who always give it a
second look as it cocks its head from side to side.
We visited the new garden built upon the north track of the old
Tournament Field. The path travels alongside a small green creek.
Little alcoves provide six places of solitude for small groups to gather
-- "bromeliads for health, roses for
romance, orchids for beauty, azaleas for happiness, freshly cut flowers
for wealth, and the vine goddess for wisdom."
